Scheduled charging not working right after latest update

I have the old CPU too (for now). Weird if that's related. Did you try the workaround? Slide the charge limit bar in the app down to below your current charge level. Stop charging (in the app). Then when it says "Charging Complete" you can slide the bar back up to your preferred limit and the...

Incentives coming at the end of Q4 2019?

You may be right. I just did a quick inventory check near me, and in 5 or 6 other popular zip codes. Zero inventory Model 3s available. There are Xes and Ses but no Model 3s in inventory accoring to Tesla's inventory checker: New & Used Electric Cars | Tesla

Incentives coming at the end of Q4 2019?

I'm surprised there aren't any Q4 incentives yet. This past May, they upped the referral bonus from 1,000 miles to 5,000 miles of free supercharging as a Q2 incentive. The base referral bonus is not actually 1,000 miles, but is 400 kWh. On a Model 3, that 400 kWh credit can actually get you more...

Scheduled charging not working right after latest update

Hey, folks, I set my scheduled start time for charging to 12:00 AM in order to take advantage of off-peak rates. I leave my Model 3 plugged in at all times. I also set a calendar reminder on my phone to remember to stop charging at 8:00 AM (I charge at 120V, so don't always get a full charge...

Model 3 Tires for Winter: UHP All-Season vs. Dedicated Winter Tires - Opinions?

Yes. 235/45R18. I went with Michelin X-Ice Xi3 on my 18" Aeros and they worked well this past winter. I bought a second set of the 18" rims from Tesla for $200 each and just have two full sets of wheels to swap twice a year.

Question on MPGe vs. KwH/Mile and EPA Rated Range on Model 3 Performance

That was a good month as I drove the car more and had a couple of long distance road trips (800 miles each way). I know BEVs do better overall with city driving vs. highway but not when every red light is an opportunity to impress more ICE drivers to want an EV. :) I'm a true EVangelist. The...

Question on MPGe vs. KwH/Mile and EPA Rated Range on Model 3 Performance

That's pretty incredible efficiency for AWD. Is your commute downhill in both directions? :) And do you have the 18 inch wheels with the aero caps? They do add up to about 5-7% gain in efficiency from what I've read.

Question on MPGe vs. KwH/Mile and EPA Rated Range on Model 3 Performance

Maybe on the RWD which is more efficient than the Performance AWD. But 242 wH/mile isn't easy to attain on the Performance AWD Model 3, particularly with the stock 20-inch wheels, and certainly not if you like taking advantage of the car's amazing acceleration. I've got the 18-inch aeros on...

Question on MPGe vs. KwH/Mile and EPA Rated Range on Model 3 Performance

Actually that was pretty comprehensive. Thanks. I misinterpreted Zoomit's "include losses from the charger" to have the opposite meaning. He didn't write it wrong. I read it wrong. :) So thanks to all of you guys for the explanation. I get it now (mostly). :)

Question on MPGe vs. KwH/Mile and EPA Rated Range on Model 3 Performance

Clear as mud. Thanks! :) Seriously, thanks for links to the detailed documents - fascinating stuff - but they don't explain the discrepancy. I'm doing a very simple comparison between two numbers that are both EPA approved. The EPA certified fuel economy numbers state that the Model 3 LR AWD...

Question on MPGe vs. KwH/Mile and EPA Rated Range on Model 3 Performance

I believe it was only the Long Range RWD that got a rated range boost from 310 to 325 miles. Model 3 AWD and AWD Performance are still rated at 310 miles. At least mine still says that when I charge it to 100% and the web site states the same thing. As for the battery being at or near 75 kWH in...

Question on MPGe vs. KwH/Mile and EPA Rated Range on Model 3 Performance

Relevant when calculating actual cost of ownership, but not when doing this math. The net charging losses don't apply to the actual battery capacity. The battery capacity of 75 kWh is a fixed number. If it takes 80 kWH of electricity to give the battery 75kWH of charge, that's useful...

Question on MPGe vs. KwH/Mile and EPA Rated Range on Model 3 Performance

OK, I promise that this is not another "Why can't I get the rated range on my Model 3?" question. I'm just trying to figure out how the EPA rated range matches up with the EPA's MPGe and kWh/mile ratings Looking at the EPA ratings on fueleconomy.gov for the Model 3 AWD, Performance and Standard...

Liberty Mutual "alternative fuel" discount doesn't include Model 3 (or any EVs)

BTW, on my 8th e-mail to Liberty Mutual, after asking this to be escalated twice, I did finally get a reply acknowledging the issue and a promise to look into it. I did confirm via an online VIN decoder that my VIN does specifically decode to Fuel Type: Electric, but whatever system Liberty...
