I added CCS support to my 2019 M3P myself. It wasn't very hard. The guide I used said to cut power to the whole car. I made the mistake of letting the door close after doing that. The door handles are not physically connected to the door lock so you cannot open the doors with no power...

I have something like this as well. Saved my butt when I was behind a hay truck and bunch of hay clogged the mesh. I figured it out when the A/C wasn't working well in 100+ degrees temperatures in Boise.

I replace the battery on a regular basis, but if it did die the keyfob works via RFID as well, no power required.

I just use the Tesla keyfob and don't use my phone as a key for the car. I've never had a problem.

I haven't read the document, but it is puzzling to me that the top minds in AI (If they actually are the "top minds") would be concerned about something that isn't truly intelligent. I have used ChatGPT and it isn't even close to a true AI. Neither is Tesla's attempt at self-driving.

Elon is right. AI could be very dangerous. Unfortunately we are not even close to creating real AI, so he is creating fearmongering over nothing.

I've had it beep a couple of times indicating it was closing the garage door, but the door never closed. Annoying. They should not charge for this service until it works 100% of the time.

The auto close is working for me now 90% of the time. The auto open works 95% of the time. I will not pay for it after the free trial since it is not reliable.

So far the auto open has worked every time for me. The auto close hasn't worked once...
