Comparing cost per mile using total energy from trip screen metrics vs wall charger metrics and compared with ICE

I've got a q - newer Tesla LR/P battery is 82.1kWh with ~4.5% buffer at the top to cover initial battery degradation which brings available capacity to about ~79kWh. So, when Tesla says range of 333miles is this for 82.1kWh or 79kWh? If the former then above calc would be 82100/333=247Wh/mi.

Advice on Model Y Winter Tire Modification to 18"

Sorry, idk the answer to your q's b/c I looked only briefly into 18" before deciding on 19" for my winter set. What stopped me from looking farther was very little clearing between calipers and discs in 18" config. There are plenty of ppl successfully using 18" on MY so I am sure someone will...

Battery Strategy and Degradation at 10k Miles

outdoors I am sorry this is a soup I am not sure how to eat or answer ... 50-80% is not what "I like" but Tesla recommendation ... outdoors you have no idea what I want to read and hear. I do NOT appreciate you making assumptions. Please stop!

Battery Strategy and Degradation at 10k Miles

50-80% daily or 80-100% trip do you consider NOT "normal charging principals"? Then what is? outdoors did I miss your answer? Where did lowering regen comment came from? Charging to 55% effects regen? What, how? outdoors , would you like to explain so it makes a bit more sense? Thx outdoors...

    Battery health tracking SS

Until you are willing to share your BMS data and/or Teslafi data I am not willing to take your word on any numbers. So, we are not talking about 1.5mi difference but probably much higher. Does 15-25mi range difference just under 5 years is significant? What about 10 years, 20 years? 50K, 100K...

    Battery health tracking SS

Not touching any more such disagreements with a 10' pole, it is just getting old IMHO but last sentence would not be a bad idea at all. Of course people will have to understand the limitations that come with engaging such a "magic button" so we would be back to square one. But, I for one would...

MY misses charging schedule after a software update

I've had weird things happening after a software upgrade to 2023.26.7. I did a two wheels reset following power down (my car-safety) + 5 minutes wait which seem to help. Now, I do reset after every upgrade. I am on 26.9 and so far have not seeing anything weird. 🤞

    Battery health tracking SS

I am sure you are not the only one who does 🤣 PS This discussion has been derailed enough IMO so I, personally hope to keep focus on more info that is based on studies, real data and how it can be massaged to provide useful info.

Would 2023 MYLR also have LG battery? I always assumed Panasonic battery in my MYLR but of course that was just an assumption ... You mention the "cheat sheet" it WOULD BE cool if one existed or somebody know of one and share it :)

No, not your posts and you know it. PS FYI I changed the reactions. It was not the point. " Let's try to get back on topic." +1 Completely agree
