    Tesla Software updates - Australia

Does anyone have Boombox functionality in their Toybox? Is that even a thing in Australia?

RVG trade in and tyre condition

The policy has just been officially clarified for me, 4mm is the replacement threshold, of which I was a little short. Following the sentiment in this thread and to avoid the battle, I have replaced the tyres. Now some lucky second hand buyer will get a good run out of it! Considering the small...

RVG trade in and tyre condition

Thank you for the responses so far. To clarify, the tyres are the 4th set in 90,000kms and have about 10,000 left on them. They've also tried to pass $370 for detailing at my expense.

RVG trade in and tyre condition

I'm up for an RVG and Tesla are saying that my (roadworthy with a few mm to spare) tyres must be replaced at my cost, and have quoted 150% retail to do it after returning the car. Has anyone had any dealings with the " damage and excessive wear and use based on Tesla’s standards for normal use"...

3 Phase HPWC vs Juice Buster2/Maxi Charger, etc. for traveling?

Also did this, set it to 40A(x3) internally and limit in the car if the breaker requires it.

Leaders and Managers: Flashy Tesla at Work?

I'm the exact opposite of your question, OP. The company I work for has a fairly flat management structure, The boss(owner) and everyone else. He parks his 7 year old Audi next to my Tesla and explains to our customers that I'm driving that car because of the life choices I made. Cultural note...

Request for recommendation - Tesla detailing Sydney North

I had a detail and opticoat done by You are being redirected... He treated the car well and I wasn't the first Tesla he'd done.

    New tyres at 60 000kms

What sizes are those prices for? That's a fairly solid repair kit to have with you, hopefully you never have to use it on your own car. The hole reaming tool is disturbing to use if you've never done it before!

    Strata Issues

How will they know what the sparkie is doing is correct? Looky-loos. Ugh. Warn your guy to have all his cards on him that day. I'd love to see how they worded this (triumphantly, I'm sure) when telling you, and would love even more to see the security footage at the fire station.

12V constant power using OBDII USB Adapter

4-5A seems to be the numbers appearing around the internet, 5a x 13.8v = 69w (fridge is a bad idea) I do exactly this, with this guy (https://www.idgcdn.com.au/products/image/11893/angle/8/614x480/179779/) connected to one of the console USB ports. It fits neatly, gets constant power and has...

19" vs 21" Model S wheels in Australia

Taking a tiny bit of care with your drive will be enough to avoid damaging the wheel in pot holes. You won't have to change your life. Tyres for 21s will cost you a minimum of $509 per, they hang on a little harder in corners but is it worth that extra cost?

Watch out for Blackvue Viewer uncommanded erasure of data!!!

If it performed a "quick format" you should be able to recover the data.

If I could hack the Tesla, I would...

This is a great list. I see the reasons behind some of the limitations but if we promise to be good can we have them?

Vendor Dashboard for Tesla - the better app for your Tesla

Yes! This new function of the Tesla app came as a surprise to me. It would be a role reversal in effect. I used Dashboard to run it all day before, now Dashboard could be the app I use to turn it on for only 30 minutes.
