Yes, and that it would be in future cars in about 6 months. To me it sounds like If you haven't ordered FSD you'll be paying extra for it as an upgrade. By definition this is a hardware up grade, am I wrong?

Musk did say that only people that ordered FSD will get the upgraded computer, its only needed for FSD, not Autopilot.

I agree. My car goes in next week for another minor item and this issue. Hopefully there is more data available to the service center by that time. As of now no one really knows much.

IR is very important to me, in addition to the uniformity. These are the two important issues. It may have the IR properties but it will never be uniform with the rest of the roof.

to this I would say that I didn't receive what I expected, the glass used to match and now it doesn't the uniformity (the quality or state of being uniform) of an all glass roof was important to me, and don't be mistaken in thinking that it is only relevant when the car is wet because its not true.

Wouldn't it be nice if Tesla just told us what is going on? It would go a long way to solving everything.

I may be wrong, and its happened a lot in the past but UV is what causes you to have a sun tan, Infra Red radiation is what causes things to get hot. I'm not sure that concentrating on UV performance is what the focus should be.
