Tesla's Supercharger Team was recently laid off. We discuss what this means for the company on today's TMC Podcast streaming live at 1PM PDT. You can watch on X or on YouTube where you can participate in the live chat.
So if I'm working on some accounting late at night while at home (on my dual monitor desktop PC), and need to download supercharging invoices I need to wake my car up from sleep (by opening the app) to get the invoices? That doesn't seem very well thought out.
Is it just me or can you no longer see the album art and song title (and the left half of the trip meter card) when your hands are on the steering wheel? This is a UI downgrade because you either have to remove your hand from the wheel or move your head to see this information. Before you could...
Ditto (on the sarcasm). I subscribed for a month and then canceled once I discovered that Spotify on my iPhone (high quality setting in Spotify) over Bluetooth had significantly better sound quality than Tesla's built-in Spotify. Also, the Tesla built-in Spotify limits the number of artists you...
Agreed 100%. The Spotify software for Tesla is terrible..like an old beta version that was abandoned. I have a huge collection of saved artists and found the same thing. More importantly though, the sound quality is much better using Bluetooth. There are no settings in the Tesla Spotify app to...
If you live somewhere where it snows, you'll understand the issue with pressing the stalk button (actuating the wipers) to bring up the wiper controls. For example if you had left the wipers on 'Auto' from a previous rainy day ('Auto' works well most of the time in rain) and you now have dry...
Agree 100%. It was that way (perfect) just over a year ago. The trend of thinner, smaller fonts and lower contrast hasn't passed yet unfortunately. Even the phone app did the same recently. I'm fine with change (different font) but if it's harder to read then it's not welcome.
Trip meter and battery % are completely unrelated. Many of us use our cars for business related trips and need to track distance for specific trips during the day. You obviously don't use the trip meter which is fine, however for those of us who do, it's now more difficult than before the v11...
Not everyone needs to open the garage every time they arrive in their driveway. I'd say a good 20% of the time, I don't need to open the garage when I get home so having it automatically open all the time would be super annoying.
This is incorrect. The new TeslaCam app icon at the bottom only launches the viewer while parked (1/3 of what the icon above the map did). It is not a replacement for the icon above the map, which served 3 purposes (indicated recording status with the red light which was very helpful by...
Obviously you'd press the button all the way in! That's not an issue at all (before or after the V11 update). The point I was trying to make is that these changes have NOT made things BETTER than before.
The wipers will move if you press the button on the stalk. Not a good idea if the window is dry. If you want to check the status (to see if in auto mode or off) and don't want to move the wipers you need to hunt further than before. The new location requires you to extend your arm to the far...
I think pretty much all of us can agree that adding new features such as dark mode or blind spot camera (both with a choice to enable or not) is a no-brainer and welcome by all. What I'm struggling with is that when you and a few others say "Some may love it...". Are you actually referring to...
The problem with this is that the car will do things that you might not want at that moment (actuating the wipers or flashing the high beams). You're right in that there is another way to get there, but the execution doesn't make sense and is inferior to previous software versions in the car.
Some feedback on the navigation...
1. Like everything else in this update, more tapping and scrolling required to get the info that used to be there. For example, when navigating I select "avoid tolls" when using the car for personal use, but I use toll roads for work. I'll toggle this on and...
