Supercharger invoices no longer available on tesla.com

So if I'm working on some accounting late at night while at home (on my dual monitor desktop PC), and need to download supercharging invoices I need to wake my car up from sleep (by opening the app) to get the invoices? That doesn't seem very well thought out.

Holiday Update popped in this morning, fastest download in recent history

Is it just me or can you no longer see the album art and song title (and the left half of the trip meter card) when your hands are on the steering wheel? This is a UI downgrade because you either have to remove your hand from the wheel or move your head to see this information. Before you could...

Holiday Update popped in this morning, fastest download in recent history

Ditto (on the sarcasm). I subscribed for a month and then canceled once I discovered that Spotify on my iPhone (high quality setting in Spotify) over Bluetooth had significantly better sound quality than Tesla's built-in Spotify. Also, the Tesla built-in Spotify limits the number of artists you...

Does the 2022 Holiday Update fix the Spotify Playlist refresh issue?

Agreed 100%. The Spotify software for Tesla is terrible..like an old beta version that was abandoned. I have a huge collection of saved artists and found the same thing. More importantly though, the sound quality is much better using Bluetooth. There are no settings in the Tesla Spotify app to...

    Poll on V11 interface

If you live somewhere where it snows, you'll understand the issue with pressing the stalk button (actuating the wipers) to bring up the wiper controls. For example if you had left the wipers on 'Auto' from a previous rainy day ('Auto' works well most of the time in rain) and you now have dry...

    V11 Regen "dots"

Agree 100%. It was that way (perfect) just over a year ago. The trend of thinner, smaller fonts and lower contrast hasn't passed yet unfortunately. Even the phone app did the same recently. I'm fine with change (different font) but if it's harder to read then it's not welcome.

    Poll on V11 interface

Trip meter and battery % are completely unrelated. Many of us use our cars for business related trips and need to track distance for specific trips during the day. You obviously don't use the trip meter which is fine, however for those of us who do, it's now more difficult than before the v11...

    Poll on V11 interface

Not everyone needs to open the garage every time they arrive in their driveway. I'd say a good 20% of the time, I don't need to open the garage when I get home so having it automatically open all the time would be super annoying.

    Poll on V11 interface

This is incorrect. The new TeslaCam app icon at the bottom only launches the viewer while parked (1/3 of what the icon above the map did). It is not a replacement for the icon above the map, which served 3 purposes (indicated recording status with the red light which was very helpful by...

WOW!! I didn't notice that but I agree 100% that this is another crazy and unacceptable step backwards in V11

    Poll on V11 interface

Obviously you'd press the button all the way in! That's not an issue at all (before or after the V11 update). The point I was trying to make is that these changes have NOT made things BETTER than before.

    Poll on V11 interface

The wipers will move if you press the button on the stalk. Not a good idea if the window is dry. If you want to check the status (to see if in auto mode or off) and don't want to move the wipers you need to hunt further than before. The new location requires you to extend your arm to the far...

    Poll on V11 interface

I think pretty much all of us can agree that adding new features such as dark mode or blind spot camera (both with a choice to enable or not) is a no-brainer and welcome by all. What I'm struggling with is that when you and a few others say "Some may love it...". Are you actually referring to...

    Poll on V11 interface

The problem with this is that the car will do things that you might not want at that moment (actuating the wipers or flashing the high beams). You're right in that there is another way to get there, but the execution doesn't make sense and is inferior to previous software versions in the car.

    Poll on V11 interface

Some feedback on the navigation... 1. Like everything else in this update, more tapping and scrolling required to get the info that used to be there. For example, when navigating I select "avoid tolls" when using the car for personal use, but I use toll roads for work. I'll toggle this on and...

    Poll on V11 interface

Most people in here DO like change. That's why we bought electric cars. We knew there were no buttons going in when we went with Tesla (3/Y). The problem is that key functions (not the extra toys or enhancements) are being moved around and most of the time they get worse. For example, who...

    Poll on V11 interface

I find auto wipers have improved but are still only about 75% reliable. The problem with pressing the stalk is that if you simply want to check the mode, It will activate the wipers and if you press too hard it will dispense fluid. The wiper control should be more accessible as before. Now you...

    Poll on V11 interface

You can get rid of tidal, spotify, etc. but unfortunately they haven't given us enough buttons to put back all the important stuff that was taken away. I love and embrace change (as most of us do driving electric cars) but there are significantly more changes in V11 that take a step back than...

    Poll on V11 interface

Agreed...but it was one tap on the main screen before. That's the point I was making (along with wipers, etc. now being buried requiring more attention off the road)

    Poll on V11 interface

Preliminary thoughts after about an hour of exploring... Pros: - dark mode - blind spot camera with turn signals (though it's hidden behind your hand if on the steering wheel) - the turn signal indicators on the screen are in a better position than before the update Cons: - speedometer font...

Anyone else dislike the new UI?

Based on what I just saw posted on Twitter about 2021.44.25 I'm super disappointed. Tesla totally messed up the UI last Christmas and Elon said shortly after that the UI needs an overhaul, and led us to believe that there would be some sort of adjustment for screen real estate. I was expecting...

sentry live mode not available in Canada

I can confirm that with the 2021.40.6 update that I just installed, and iOS app version 4.3.0, Sentry Mode Live is still NOT available in Canada. It wasn't in the list of changes and there is nowhere in the car settings to enable it (as seen in YouTube videos). Bummer...

Software update 2020.48.26.x update, font size problems

I've said before how awful this update is, with zero improvements to the UI and many downgrades, but the last straw happened this weekend when my wife drove the Model 3 for the first time since the update. She is short and from her seating position, the speed is COMPLETELY blocked by her right...

Anyone else dislike the new UI?

I use the camera sometimes when driving "through" a parking space so that I can line up my back bumper with the line. I like to park that way so that the front end of the car is as far back as possible, without intruding on the parking space behind. In a "regular" car with a backup camera only...

    Accident in Model 3

I doubt that it's totaled. You can't tell from that picture and it's astonishing what a good body shop can fix. Don't be discouraged @yeahhtrue. I've seen cars that look much worse in body shops.

Anyone else dislike the new UI?

Everything about this UI update sucks but more importantly, it marginally reduces safety in the Model 3. Information you want to look at now requires more effort to see and/or process: 1. the current speed (now too small for no apparent benefit or reason) 2. the energy consumption/regen line...

    2021 Model 3 Weathertech

If you're open to other brands, I'd highly recommend TuxMat. They are superior quality, cover more of the carpet, and typically cost slightly less. I have them in my 2020 Model 3 (front and back seats) and they fit like a glove. I've seen them in other cars as well (Honda CR-V and BMW M5) and...

    Tesla 2021 SR+ Won't drive (BMS_a151 BMS_a192 BMS_a035)

Ouch! I guess I'm lucky that my brand new 2020 only had a paint defect (requiring 3 days in a body shop) and a non-working camera (requiring a full day at Tesla service). Hopefully the process won't take a month like mine. Your issues are obviously very urgent though, so hopefully Tesla will...

    Warming battery icon in app

I've wondered whether it makes sense to precondition for so long, and what the optimum timing is based on ambient temperature. As someone who loves one pedal driving, I see the benefit with the regenerative braking, but often wonder whether you use more energy preheating than what you'd get...

    Accident in Model 3

Sorry to hear that! I'd contact Tesla if I were you. They will be able to recommend the next steps, and they will know which body shops are reputable. I unfortunately had a paint defect on mine at time of delivery, but Tesla set me up with a body shop that did a perfect repair. Good luck!

Software update 2020.48.26.x update, font size problems

After a few days of driving my Model 3 now with the update, I'm starting to.............hate it even more!! What a gong show. The UI reminds me of a bowl of alphabet soup with stuff haphazardly scattered around the perimeter of the (cool looking but now even more distracting) FSD preview...

Software update 2020.48.26.x update, font size problems

In the Model 3(Y) everything in this UI update takes our attention off the road, whether it’s the smaller fonts, the information icons that are now at the side hidden behind the steering wheel (and/or your hand while on the wheel), the additional (cool but distracting) animation on the now...

Software update 2020.48.26.x update, font size problems

Sorry Tesla but there are zero improvements other than novelty stuff that wears off after a while (yes Boombox is hilarious). For the first time, I have a feeling of regret owning a car that has updates. I never thought there could be such a major step backwards with the driver driver...

Can someone recommend controllers for Cuphead?

I can confirm that my PS4 controller (from 2 year old PS4 Slim) works when plugged into the USB-A port in my (manufactured in August 2020) Model 3. It works flawlessly for both Cuphead and Beach Buggy. I haven't tried it for any other games yet.

    Maxpider or WeatherTech?

Agreed. No trunk or frunk liners from TuxMat. They look and fit great in the front and rear seats though.

    Maxpider or WeatherTech?

Have you considered TuxMat? I thought Maxpider's were the best (had them in two vehicles) until I discovered TuxMat. They have even better coverage (cover even more carpeted surface) and are much easier to clean. I now have them in both my vehicles (including Model 3). Not sure if they are...

    Tesla's Paint Protection Film Kit

I also bought the film from the Tesla website. I can confirm that it does not fit properly on my Model 3 SR+ that was manufactured in August 2020. The bottom rectangular pieces are too tall and go past the seams in the panel, causing an air pocket that is impossible to get rid of. The top curved...

USB C in the back not working

I agree with the above posts mentioning an official Apple USB-C to lightning cable works (Tesla service confirmed to me when I brought my car in thinking the rear ports were dead). For anyone who prefers a slightly longer black cable that's about 35% cheaper than Apple's, I can confirm that...
