Wiki Consolidated eMMC Thread (MCU repair) (Black Center Screen)

OMG no Karen! I guess a couple of servo motors connected to an Arduino, operating the "+" and "-" of the map shall do the job. All in the name of science, of course!

Wiki Consolidated eMMC Thread (MCU repair) (Black Center Screen)

My friend is playing MP3 from a USB stick for over 1 year and the eMMC is still alive (and slowing :) ) I would think that the .MP3 data is accessed directly by the MCU's CPU, therefore not putting a load on the eMMC. Altought, like you mention, there maybe some sort of caching to the eMMC...

Wiki Consolidated eMMC Thread (MCU repair) (Black Center Screen)

So... asking for a friend: is there an automated task that can be run to stress the usage of the eMMC in a MCU1? Like a webpage always refreshing/putting a load on the eMMC?

    Arachnids... Who is waiting?

6 months later: "Dear Rui, Thank you for contacting Referral Program. I have checked on your concern and can confirm that the ARACHNID Wheels is already selected. Unfortunately, i do not have any lead time for the Wheels at this very moment. The issue basically is that our tire partners...

    Help me understand battery consumption

Redrick00, this - and the linked thread - is the correct answer to your (correct) findings. Summing it up: because of discharge losses (not accounted for in Tesla's energy consumption meter) you'll never, ever, ever be able to see the car report a +70kWh "energy consumption since last charge"...

    WTB: Battery modules in Europe

Hi, I'm looking to buy 2 Tesla battery modules - Probably from Europe in order to minimize shipping costs (to Portugal), - In perfect working order, - With some sort of history from the donor car (would really like to avoid stolen items) - Preferably 444 cell 5.3kWh modules. Can also check...

    [BUYER] Tesla battery modules

Because my modules are going to be heavy cycled, and after noticing several reports like this one, I just want to play it safe on the degradation side. The reports are mainly with the 90's and early 75 packs. Not the 60 (not software limited), 70 (not software limited), 85 or 100.

Car’s energy consumption (lack of) accuracy

Because calculating the consumption in relation to 100% of the energy that entered the battery is something that would have a small margin of error (much smaller than the energy that's currently not being accounted for), you prefer to have a super precise measurement of the energy that is...

Car’s energy consumption (lack of) accuracy

Just a sec. Let me just upload the code to Github. Or I would happily sell Elon or Space X the graph on the 1st post for $5000.!

Car’s energy consumption (lack of) accuracy

Why is that curious? It's clearly stated on the 1st post that that is the overall conclusion of the experiment: "Model S is NOT measuring the battery’s discharge (in)efficiency" It was right there on the 1st post! The word accuracy is referred in relation to an indicator that Tesla calls...

Car’s energy consumption (lack of) accuracy

Energy Star (ENERGY STAR | The Simple Choice for Energy Efficiency) closely monitors energy efficiency on dehumidifiers, dishwashers, refrigerators, room air cleaners, HVACs and even geothermal heat pumps, but indeed no EVs, so perhaps you have a point when you say "it's likely that EVs will...

Car’s energy consumption (lack of) accuracy

So sorry, but what's been pointed is that the car's BMS indicates the energy in the battery. It's an insurmountable fact. Pointing in the opposite direction is plain insanity. PS: Towing, going uphill and using the AC has nothing to do with the ability to estimate the amount of energy left in...

Car’s energy consumption (lack of) accuracy

They don't show that number where they should: in the consumption and in what Tesla calls Total Energy (which should be called Part of the Energy). And, additionally, that number DOES NOT show you charge efficiency: you pull 55 from the wall, and 50 enter the battery. The car shows you the 50...
