    Model 3 Performance/Ludicrous Waiting Room

Thanks...does putting your order on hold affect the original price? I don't want to lose the ability to get the red and stay under the $55k tax credit cap. I'm assuming you don't lose your place in line when you remove the hold.

    Model 3 Performance/Ludicrous Waiting Room

SoCal delivery updated to May 14-June 11. April 23rd order date. Of course we have a three week camping trip starting mid-June so wife wants to delay delivery until early July. Assuming Tesla will hold our place in line? It's been 6 years since picking up our 2018 M3 so I'm a bit foggy on...

Windshield glass distortion - how much to rate replacement?

Shortly after my June '18 delivery I noticed my forward vision being distorted by imperfections in the windshield glass in the form of diagonal lines or ripples. I've tried living with it but find it more and more distracting to the point of contacting Tesla service to schedule an appointment...

    "Autopilot features unavailable" screen pop-up?

Your message wasn't displaying at delivery? It could be a different issue than mine but I think it will require service to repair. I doubt it is a software glitch. A tech should be able to diagnose it quickly. Keep in mind that you may not have features like emergency braking until the...

    "Autopilot features unavailable" screen pop-up?

That's the message I had from delivery. I can't say that it couldn't be caused by something else but I don't think its a software glitch or calibration problem that will fix itself...as I had hoped. It waited a month before I finally took it in. Forward radar was the culprit in my case...

    "Autopilot features unavailable" screen pop-up?

Tesla determined it to be a faulty forward sensor. They replaced that but the problem persisted so they replaced the replacement sensor. Finally they claimed the sensor mounting bracket was bent/damaged and replaced that as well. I'm still not certain if the bracket was the original problem...

    Software update v8.1 2018.32.2

True, EAP is "only" $5,000...but based on my limited trial experience it still doesn't seem worth it. Of course that is only for me and my driving situation.

    Software update v8.1 2018.32.2

The ONLY reason? I can think of one or two (or twenty) other reasons I bought mine...EAP wasn't one of them. I actually enjoy driving this car and don't have a commute to help justify the $9k expense. I do admit to having fun testing it out though. I feel like I'm in George Jetson's "car"...

    Software update v8.1 2018.32.2

Major bummer...900 mile Coast Hwy trip to Big Sur in three weeks. "Missed it by that much!" Too bad we can't delay the start of the trial period. It'll be a great drive regardless but would have been a real test for Autopilot. Can't justify paying the asking price so this will be our only...

    Only in the "OC"

On a recent trip to Arizona and New Mexico I think I saw 2 Teslas. My first Tesla road trip was to San Jose/Silicon Valley area in June and I was blown away by the high numbers of Model 3 already on the road. At a new trendy shopping/hotel development near Campbell there was a packed...

    Only in the "OC"

True...silver cars are less visible on the road. I'd rather get a ticket than get in an accident.

    Only in the "OC"

I mostly agree. Like white, silver has been beat to death in recent years. Three of my last four vehicles have been a variant of silver or grey but not always by choice, more out of availability. That was the main reason I crossed it off my color list. Personally, I love silver on the Model...

    Only in the "OC"

Congrats! Welcome to the club/crowd. The more the merrier, I say. I've personalized mine enough (wheels, springs, tint) that it has a unique look so I won't have the "oops...wrong red Model 3" embarrassing moment. Yes...Rancho Santa Margarita is quite a mouthful.

    Only in the "OC"

Living in Orange County, CA I've grown accustomed to seeing Teslas everywhere and now multiple M3s every day but yesterday was too funny not to report. Leaving the RSM Trader Joe's parking lot I pulled up to the red light next to another red M3. Okay...no big deal...but then a third red M3...

    Lowering the Model 3

A quick update on my Eibachs after a couple of weeks: No negatives to report at all. The drop remains the same so the springs haven't settled. No bottoming out, noises, or clearance issues so far. :D Planning a road trip up the CA coast through the recently opened Hwy 1 to Big Sur. That...
