Tesla, TSLA & the Investment World: the Perpetual Investors' Roundtable

These are different metrics. It is possible for X to have the lowest conversion rate and the highest ROI.

Completely agree. I don't expect a retrofit or "simple" changeover. But it seems like the only possible solution given these 3 axioms which I believe to be true. The current camera setup cannot physically see areas which it needs to see to safely operate in some situations. Those situations are...

Got V12 last night. First time I ever wasn't disappointed with a hyped up new version. The camera position issues seem real though. On V11 there were so many flaws that the issues due to camera positions were easy to overlook. Now that most of those flaws have been completely eradicated, what's...

None of these tests appear to be concerned with how well the system can drive.

They might as well save some of their art budget and just start showing Teslas in their ads now like Exxon does.

Nice to see we're green on the 1-year chart again!

Today's $25.08 gain was the second largest single-day gain in TSLA history in absolute terms. Barely edging out October 25th, 2021 ($24.78 split adjusted) and behind the all time best day on February 24th, 2022 ($33.46 split adjusted).

While I appreciate any short term bump from the recent Morgan Stanley note and price target increase, the specific points in the note are mostly noise with little signal. This is after all the same Adam Jonas who in 2014 caused a big spike in TSLA when he released a note stating "in car...

Yikes. You're right, not sure why I was sure the split happened in Q1 23. My bad! Nice estimating and nice compilation/chart.

Generous of him not to multiply his error in Q1 2023 by 3 given the price split 3-for-1 before Q1 earnings. So an error of 4 cents was equal to an error of 12 cents in all other quarters. If he did the math honestly @tesladaily and Honey Jam would have similar error rates and he would be 1...

"It might not be a great investment but it seems like the right thing to do". --Elon probably. Direct the question at Zach and keep it short and to the point if you actually want some insight. When you ask multiple questions it's very easy for them to only pick the part they want to answer

This should absolutely be the top say.com question. I agree with you if it's just phrased as "How does Tesla benefit from these partnerships?" then the answer we will be given is Elon saying "We're not sure if we will benefit, but it seems like the right thing to do." I'd prefer to see a...

Good. I'd rather invest in a company that is a year late solving hard problems than a company who can only solve easy problems but does so right on schedule.

Imagine a stock starts at $100. If it goes down 20% ($80) then up 25% ($100) it's back where it started. Meanwhile TSLL would go down 30% (1.5x20%) to $70, then up 37.5% (1.5x25%) to $96.25. So you're down 3.75% compared to just holding the stock. Note that this is the same outcome even if it...

It's much more about GM and Ford's influence in the US than number of cars sold. With the three largest US automakers all on board, it becomes very risky for anyone else to continue down the CCS path.
