PLAID damaged by TESLA minutes before delivery!

If only people knew the amount of dings and dents that cars (non-Teslas) get while being transported to their final destination by truck/trailer, fixed by the dealer (key here is dealer, as Tesla do not have nor specialize in body repair) and then sold on lots. It sucks, but you have 2 legit...

Xpel front wrap & parking sensor issues

My installer actually had some device (think like a grommet kit with a cutter that is the appropiate size [Amazon.com : grommet cutter]) that cut it perfectly. I don't think I would do it by hand cause if you catch an edge and cause a tear it will collect dirt and likely expand. I'd find a...

how to test for battery health during a test drive.

Battery health is unfortunately going to be tough to test -- some things I would check are the battery pack part numbers (check against the "bad" or "problematic" ones that have been in market), compared original miles vs today (then you back into a curve of degradation although its best guess...

    AC Works, Mostly

Same problem here -- have been fighting this since 2017 and I leave warranty this Sept and it's aggravating/worrisome I'll be coming out of pocket for this. They've replaced almost my entire AC system (except for compressor) at this point. I get random, extremely hot/warm air, when the AC is...

Which inverter did you get, if you don't mind me asking?

Travel Through Cajon Pass on I-15

I've done Pearl Blossom a few times, and each time I get stuck behind slow trucks, I regret not taking the "normal" 118/210/15. Plus it's littered with amenities and chargers if needed. I'm over in Calabasas and take that route all the time.

Travel Through Cajon Pass on I-15

I usually burn 20-30 "miles" going up the grade for the 6 or so miles it really is...but on the backside (Santa Clarita side), I maybe only use 5-6 miles for the next actual 20 miles. It evens out somewhat. But don't speed...65-70mph seems to keep the car the happiest. It will be 400-700wh/m...

Radio upgrade coming soon for MCU2 upgrade

I made a reservation for Mid-Nov for this and will see if it holds...they'll usually review a week beforehand and tell me go/no go.

Did you get the Auto pilot HW3 upgrade and do you see Cones?

For me, it's actually more distracting. Not necessary at all.

Rear roof glass repairs - Safelite or Tesla?

Just had a bolt hit my roof glass -- I have a glass deductible of $100 for Tesla genuine replacement, but the process was interesting. First off, Safelite wouldn't touch it out here in CA. They also referred me to "Sunroof Express" which also won't touch it. They then sent me to Tesla to get...
