    Supercharger Voting 2024Q1

Stowe/Morrisville would be great. The chargers in Stowe seem to top out around 6kw. Lots of EVs up there. There's a hole in the northern third of Vermont I've encountered when vacationing around that area, or making a day trip to the eastern townships in Quebec from my Montpelier-area home...

I’m kinda new here, does this happen a lot? Haven’t seen it before.

Interesting thanks. An investigator from NHTSA did email me yesterday asking some basic questions. Mostly wanted to know what the steering felt like and whether the issue came back (it hasn't in 4,300 miles so far).

Model Y steering locked up while driving [Power steering went out]

Thanks for the update and sorry you had to go through that. Much scarier than having the power steering fail in my garage. Did you happen to report this to NHTSA? Since my steering rack was not replaced by service, I'm going to be keeping tabs on this.

Model Y steering locked up while driving [Power steering went out]

Ambivalent I guess? It didn’t happen while driving, and without a known cause (service bulletin?) I’m not sure what else can/should be done about it. Hence the NHSTA report and I’ll certainly be talking to my local service center when it opens later this summer.

Model Y steering locked up while driving [Power steering went out]

I had a similar issue posted here on my MYLR May 2023 Austin build. Visited the service center two weeks ago, but apparently no mechanical issues. I did report it to NHTSA after the service visit just in case. Luckily I wasn't driving when it happened.

    Steering Power Reduced

Just a (hopefully!) final update in case it's helpful to anyone. I visited the St. Bruno Quebec service center on June 9, 2023. They were expecting my 2023 MYLR (Austin build May 2023) might need a new steering rack and so they had already prepared a loaner for me. This was obviously a known...

    Steering Power Reduced

Per my post above, a power cycle “cleared” the issue for me last week. Might help while you wait for a service appt or at least avoid the tow? Hoping the issue doesn’t come back before I drive the car to the SC on Friday.

Did the service center have the part on hand or did it take a while? Sounds like I’ll be getting a new steering rack.

    Steering Power Reduced

Been driving the car since the power cycle two days ago “fixed” the steering assist error - no issues so far. Tesla checked the vehicle logs remotely today (“remote service team”) after I set up an appointment for Thursday in Albany NY area. Just got back to me saying they want to run some...

    Steering Power Reduced

Power cycling appears to have fixed it for now. I made a service appointment for this coming week. Told them I’d like some reassurance the car, which I picked up yesterday is safe to drive. Reasonable right?

Same thing just happened to me stanc52. Mode Y with 400 miles. First time in the car since updating the software this afternoon. Letting the car sleep now. Haven’t made a service appointment yet.
