Mobile charger no longer charges at 12 amps

Fwiw,I have found that sometimes after several months of hanging from my wall outlet the short 120v adapter cord gets slightly loose at the end where it enters the charger unit and charging amps drop (in my case from 12 to 6)

When Phone Not Recognized, Where is the Failure?

I have had this same experience, in fact, today and yesterday. Although bluetooth may be One such cause, it apparently is not the only one because both days I was able to open the car with my phone in my pocket, but was asked for the keycard to start driving. Bluetooth was active, connected...

    Model 3 Multiple Issues

You spooked me with this one. I drove 270 highway and secondary road miles yesterday, speed limits from 45-70 mph, and driving speeds from 0-15 mph over the limit. There were several conduction zones and I probably activated the cruise control 40 times. Every time it set to exactly the speed I...

Talk me out of ending my Model 3 lease early to go purchase one

FWIW... I had this same discussion with myself before deciding to lease. My general concern is that I love the car, but I am not sure what that Tesla ownership experience will look like in 3 years. I ran the numbers and despite some who will say a lease is inevitably a bad deal, in my case it...

AWD and changing less than 4 tires?

Yes, I know, but thanks for adding this clarification. Locking is for loose/wet/icy surfaces only; I just thought it was an interesting variation, and perhaps explains why somebody might give such an explanation.

AWD and changing less than 4 tires?

Way back when I had one of the original (1983, in US) Audi Quattro Coupes (it was red, as they all were). To engage the 4-wheel differential lock, one had to be driving very straight as the system would wait until all wheel were turning in sync before engaging, and there was indeed a warning...

Frunk shortcut on the Tesla app, can I change it to the trunk?

Not that you shouldn't want what you want, of course, but I think the reason the app has a button for the frunk rather than trunk is that the latter can easily be opened by hand while the frunk cannot. Both would be nice, just like on the screen.

My M3 Roasting in 85 Degree Temps? Pacific NorthWET

None so far, about 3-4 weeks of doing this. I am guessing that the a/c actually only runs maybe half the time, cools the cabin to the low 80s then is off until it hits somewhere in the 90s (just guessing by the range of temperatures when I enter the car)

My M3 Roasting in 85 Degree Temps? Pacific NorthWET

FWIW, here in Ohio my experience has been with setting the overheat protection to the "use the a/c" setting. I leave my car parked all day in the sun, ambient temperature in the low 90s. When I get in the temperature inside is usually about 86-88F, and none of the surfaces are too hot for...

    Holy Phantom Drain

Perhaps a useful data point, I recently started using the overheat protection (with a/c) instead of trying to remember to start the climate control a few minutes before departure (it works great, BTW), and I am estimating it uses about 300 watts in our situation, 90 degreeF, and parked in the...

    Phantom Superchargers

haha, thanks, I have not had the opportunity to try it, but the app has a "roadside assistance" button with a "chargers" tab

    Phantom Superchargers

This one seems more up-to-date, plus give the locations of destination chargers: Find Us | Tesla this one is fun too, check the tabs at top right: supercharge.info

Tesla Model 3 - Cruise Control Software Issue - but its BETA!!!

Well, I didn't really "try" it, it just happened... (stopped at curb to pick up the mail, thought it was still in "D" but in "hold" mode.)

Tesla Model 3 - Cruise Control Software Issue - but its BETA!!!

Oddly, with my car (LR AWD, 2019), it will not shift out of "Park" without my foot firmly on the brake, and it displays a warning should one attempt otherwise.
