Just had a look at my P- (Built: 13Aug, Vin: 5170xx) and it has a pedestrian speaker fitted. Of course it is not enabled, but I expect it will be at some point. Images attached. You can see the speaker through the grill. The picture of the inside is not great, but you can see the speaker...

My P- is installing 36.2.2 now.

Not so easy on the RHD - it's a different setup. There are three clips, but they don't release the panel enough to see the whole part number (the panel is connected to the glove box somehow). I will explore tomorrow with an inspection camera.

The last three Mercedes I have owned have had water-based paint. My understanding is that they have been using water-based paints since around 1998.
