I just ordered a Model 3 Performance version, and have my 6 month old (5,400 miles) Model 3 long range for sale in Orange County, CA. It has the enhanced autopilot and premium package. It is Midnight silver, with 18 inch aero wheels. It's a great car. Asking $54,500.

I doubt you would use a California plate out of state.

The internet seems to say you should ask the DMV of your home state what would be required in terms of tax payment. My guess is that you have to pay sales tax to the state in which the car will be registered.
