    Moving Homelink from 2020 Y to 2023 Y

I recently moved the Homelink module from my 2020 Y and installed it in my new 2023 Y. There are plenty of videos that go over the process and they explained all the steps but there were 2 things that were not mentioned that would have saved me time. 1. When I removed the Homelink I had a hard...

Transfer Homelink from 2018 model 3 to 2023 MYP?

When you removed the module from your 3 did you first go into service mode and uninstall homelink? I can’t find any DIY instructions on removing Homelink.

    Homelink compatibility?

Does anyone know what happens when you remove the Homelink module? Will the Homelink screen still appear on the Tesla screen? Do I need to go into service mode to disable the Homelink module prior to removing it? I plan to remove mine prior to selling the car.

How do I delete Homelink icon

I believe the Homelink ICON will only work if the car is in range of your garage. If you are away with the car, it will not open the door.

    VCFRONT_a552

I also got the vcfront_a552 error after update to 2022.4.5.21 I was hoping it could be done by the mobile unit but that is not an option. The controller is directly behind the 12v battery so the repair time shouldn’t be more than an hour or two. I am curious to know the repair time others...

I found this which shows 1.5 hrs for the repair.

HVAC Pressure Sensor Recall - Says I am required to take it in

I got the same message and scheduled service. The message did not go away. Does anyone know how long the service takes. It would be nice if they communicated that.

    First Long Distance Road Trip

All that is true but my fear was getting to a supercharger with 10% and there was a problem with the charger. No options left to go to the next one. I am feeing more confident now that I visited all those chargers and there were no problems. We made the best use of the stops by making sure...

    First Long Distance Road Trip

I just completed my first long distance road trip with my Model Y. We traveled 1,200 miles from PA to FL. The car performed perfectly and I was glad to have Autopilot for the long drive down RT95. It does take some of the stress out of a long drive. Being new to an EV I had range anxiety so...

Amazing example of Tesla's ability to characterize obstacles

The images are continually improving which is great but I wish it could see further. Vehicles coming from behind are not detected until they are within 10 feet. It would be good to see this distance increased.

Found this little gem on my $55K Model Y

My guess is parts shortage during COVID. You can't hold up the line for a simple plastic part!

Alert for leaving phone (key) in car

According to the manual the car uses Bluetooth to detect the phone for locking and unlocking. If the phone is left in the car it should allow the car to unlock when the handle is opened. My assumption is the car locks when the bluetooth signal is far enough away from the car.

    Charging Data

Thanks for the info, very helpful. The charging data you show is exactly what I am looking for.

    Charging Data

I wish there was an easier way to get charging information so I could track my home electric usage. Ideally this should be available through the Tesla App. I definitely would not give my credentials to a third-party source. Does anyone know if information like length of charge, volts/amps used...

    Garage Auto Parking

I used a standard garage laser that I had and mounted it on the bottom of the opener. I was able to focus the laser beam out to the driveway so when I drive up to the garage I can steer into the garage with the beam hitting a spot on the car that indicates the car is centered in the doorway...
