Xmas lights with exact scale Cybertruck

I built an exact scale Cybertruck that fits a Subaru Outback so you can drive it around. Got it finished the day all this lockdown/Covid stuff started nearly 2 years ago, then it started raining (its made of cardboard from bike boxes the local cycle shop chucks out), then I lost interest...

    Tesla Model 3 in Australia

It won't do any public roads and it only summons 12.5m away so I'm guessing that is the reason for a unique firmware for Oz as the US definitely seems to have a far higher range that what we are getting.

    Tesla Model 3 in Australia

Hi there Electro664, Just wondering when you "ordered", as in configured the car to what was available on the website, and paid a 'deposit' and agreed to the wheels, "i.e. silver', was what you thought you were getting. Tesla have now changed what you wanted while you wait for delivery. Tesla...

    Tesla Model 3 in Australia

Thought I would close the loop as promised from my previous post #9225 on Sep 17, 2019 showing a few cosmetic defects on delivery for one of the first Perth deliveries that a few people thought were completely unacceptable and I shouldn't accept the car etc etc. Scheduled service with the app...

Bugger, that seems way better solution than buying Gen 1 UMC...should have got the sparky to stick a 3P socket/plug in the line...

Always happy to test at your place TP!

3 phase or single phase WC supply better?

TP grabbed my M3 and tested with Gen 1 UMC 3 phase today. Worked as expected drawing 12KW (67Km/hr) Seems like the way to go for remote cruising in Oz. I considered purchasing but at $690 US for the cheapest setup I could find you would want to be using it a lot to justify.

Pretty sure Dashcam footage time stamp is UTC but file name is local date and time. That way Tesla can see/track worldwide events as they happen and user can search their files in local time zone.

3 phase or single phase WC supply better?

Techno-phile, I assume you are referring to the test we did today. Confirming M3 drew 40amps now worries on the S85 single phase 40amp charger. However since your supply voltage dropped to 227V I think your supply lines from street to house are undersized.

yes, confirm remote window crack works remotely. Also confirm that Summon still sucks. Caroke + Netflix and Youtube on 4K screen with great sound are awesome though and really appreciated by taxi wife.

    Tesla Model 3 in Australia

Techno-phile, I think your numbers might be on the low side. I know at least one old guy near to me who has ordered with delivery scheduled for next month (Oct). He has no interest in forums, social media, groups of any sort etc, just happy to let the car arrive. He says his wife is sooooooo...

    Tesla Model 3 in Australia

Would be really interested in feedback on your Albany trip goes as considering doing same. I know there's the fast charger at Arthur river but was hoping to be able to do the trip on one charge. Based on experience so far, car appears to be capable of it. Would be great if could do it...

    Tesla Model 3 in Australia

well, theres perfect logic to them but seems no one reads the rule book. Even the driving examiners here don't know the rules as written so what hope is there? Had massive arguments with these examiners who failed my practical test (twice) when going for my truck license because I was driving...

    Tesla Model 3 in Australia

Ditto what kieranu says but also self steers, traffic aware cruise control with selectable time following and does so out of the box in rain and weird light. Plus all the safety stuff I'm too chicken to test directly. Tested this with odo reading about 80km and was rock solid.....just don't...
