Yakima Big Stack & 3 Whitewater boats

Disclaimer: I haven't used the Big Stack on my Y, but I've been whitewater kayaking since the 1990s and have used lots and lots of rack systems over the years. I have the factory roof racks on my Y. Yakima makes the OEM Tesla bars, so they should know about compatibility. In addition, the...

Model Y 19" Gemini Wheel and Winter Tire Package On MYP

Not really, but there is more going on than just the wheel/tire combo. Model Y efficiency generally decreases as it gets colder (check out "Stats" or other apps that show fleet efficiency) and I often run a ski box on top along with my winter tires. My summer tire efficiency is usually a bit...

Cool MagSafe iPhone Holder (Behind Steering Wheel)

I picked up one of these recently after seeing this thread. It seems well made and makes looking at Waze or the S3XY Buttons dashboard much easier than on the wireless charger.

    Roof racks and boot liners…

Yakima makes the Tesla OEM roof rack. I do not think Thule has come out with a system to attach to a Y. There are lots of good third party boot/cargo liners. I am partial to the 3D Maxpider Kagu ones.

    Y performance winter tires

Have you driven a Y with 19" winter tires? Have you fitted a Y Performance with 17" wheels/tires? I believe there are very limited options in 18" wheel that will fit a Y Performance and nothing in a 17" wheel that will clear the brakes.

"NOA" = Navigate on Autopilot. Make sure you have it enabled and have a destination entered into the navigation.

    Range & Tire Pressure

But it probably did not change because of the change in tire pressure. If you are referring to the range number next to the battery symbol, that will fluctuate up an down a small amount (mostly down). Read up on battery degradation. at 100% when new my MYP used to show over 300 miles. Now at...

    Wintergreen Resort charging

I have seen a good number of Teslas up at Wintergreen this summer. I pulled into The Market once recently and was the 4th Tesla parked there. I don't know how many are home owners with L2 charging and how many simply charged up enough in Lynchburg/Charlottesville/Staunton/Lexington to make the...

2022 model Y sets off radar detector

I have a V1 gen 1 and a 2021 MYP. My car does not set off the laser detector, but an iPhone X or greater will.

    2022.20.8

I got 2022.20.8 today. I was on 2022.20.7 and checked right before I installed .8 to see if the "Apply Brakes When Regenerative Braking Is Limited" option was there. It was not. I have it now with .8, but it was not in the release notes. I have a 2021 MYP in the US.

MYP moving rear tyres to the front

That tire will fit just fine on a 9.5" wheel. A 275/35/21 should mount fine on wheels from about 9" wide to about 11" wide. The better question is whether the Y has sufficient clearance for the increased width and height of the tire (it seemed OK in the video, but I didn't see the wheels...

Tesla $7500 Tax Credit Coming Back?

If the link above is to the correct version of the proposed bill, page 376 of that proposed bill seems to say that for married filing jointly $300k MAGI (in the current or previous tax year) is a threshold limit and there would not be a phase out.

    Wintergreen Resort charging

I have since purchased a house at Wintergreen and have installed a Wall Connector on a 60 amp circuit. Several other homeowners have 14-50 outlets, but as of right now there is no public charging option at Wintergreen. I'm sure the more interest that is expressed to management, the more likely...
