Did I get it right that the performance is $30,000 CAD ($24,000US) more than awd? 1 second isnt worth that much too me.

Another thing to consider is resale. AWD will be easier to sell on the used market and will likely hold on to its value better than rwd. Unless money is a real concern I would suggest getting awd.
