Not according to this video test. It seems that glass absorbs the heat already, and adding more tint would increase the amount of heat absorbed by the glass - this is why it increases the risk of shattering

I actually saw a video and shared it probably a few pages back, that it does not make difference in temperature inside the car, and might void Tesla warranty due to glass breaking because of excessive heat it absorbs with additional tint.

Anyone can tell me if its legal to wash car in driveway in TX using 2 bucket method? Or does it depend on the county/HOA :) Don't want to take it to the car wash. We had light sprinkle yesterday and it looks spotty haha joys of having a black car :)

While attaching mudguards, discovered plastic pins missing on the bottom :rolleyes: but lucky for me, mudguards came with longer pins so I re-used the ones I took out to replace the missing ones :) I was also able to push in piece of rear bumper that was sticking out 😅

But one hour drive one way :( I did check a few places in the area. At least my back of the seat covers look good :)

30% front, and looking at it would love it darker but wanted to stay legal - so with 30% he said it would let in about 27% light because of the existing "tint". For the back, I did 5% "limo" tint, and would have to agree - that not only do I still have to get used to the small back window after...

The tint is done! For the charger I did a hole in the laundry to a garage with a small extension cord. We use a gas dryer so it was not an issue at all. Charges at 24A

It was very easy actually. I knew I had to because two kids and a dog and white seats :) I got this one - lots of people use it on tesla. It was easy to apply and dries fast. Still more than half a bottle left - and I did all seats, panels on the doors, door handles and arm rest. Double coated...
