Interesting.. they have a documentary on Netflix as well. It should be ok, I don't see a problem. I have 0 deductible so I didn't mind spending some $$ for OEM glass.. I don't want to deal with the hassle of any issues.

Just an update: I got geico to cover the entire windshield at Tesla. I called a few Safelite and do not work on Teslas so Geico reimbursed the whole thing. What they didn't cover was my $250 windshield tint... sighhh.

any touch up available that I can buy?

It's part of the comprehensive insurance so i don't see why not. Yep.. Additional information about Labor rates: Based on the National Auto Glass Specifications pricing guide, GEICO pays the prevailing competitive labor rate of $40 per hour for glass replacement. You will not be reimbursed...

I’m interested in hearing people’s responses as well. Always thought about what I would do in this situation. Will the damage be too small to get reimbursed? Would you need proof of any sort? What if they just drove away?

Well I spoke to two safelite near my home and they don’t do Tesla’s. Geico will be covering the entire bill for Tesla.

I don’t believe there are aftermarkets for them. Safe life gets it from Tesla.

I would think so but I believe geico handles it differently. This is my first glass claim with them and I do too, have 0 deductible for glass. However the coverage only up to $40 is disheartening since tesla doesn't work with insurance.
