Can anyone take a picture of the inside top of their trunk?

OK, there's another thread on this topic called Rear Deck Cutout I think. Seems that more current production cars are coming with some type of baffle in that cutout whereas previous models didn't have it. It is speculated that the cut out exists for ventilation airflow and as a subwoofer port.

Can anyone take a picture of the inside top of their trunk?

Might be easier for you to post a picture of the part you are referring to.

There is clearly something wrong with my Model 3

Yes, I understand the nature of automobile message boards. But in this case the OP DID come to the board to say his car was working great and I that's awesome. My point was why post a negative topic as a ruse of sort when your content is actually positive. The original post on this thread...

There is clearly something wrong with my Model 3

Glad you like your car, but negative topics with positive content are a bit overdone. Was clever when I first saw it, now it's just a cliche. We have enough negative topics. I don't understand why people can't just post a positive topic if they have something good to say?

    Would greatly appreciate electric guidance!

I have 100A panel and had no room, but electrician was able to make room and install a 50A breaker for Tesla wall connector. Depends how much load you have. If you have central AC and electric range 50A might not be doable. I have gas range and all my lights are LED.

Car heating up when parked upwards of 90 degrees farenheit

Is your car sleeping this whole time? Perhaps the third party app is waking the car up every two hours and this generates some heat from the computers turning on?

    Cleaning windows

You can find videos on Youtube of 'how to super clean your windshield'. I also found this tool very helpful in getting to the far reaches of the windshield and rear window. I use the below tool with it's microfiber with invisible glass to really rub the cleaner around on the glass. Then I lay...

Rear license plate installed with wrong screws

Anyone care to post a pic of what the proper screws look like? The screw bags attached to my front plate frame were labelled as I recall. The ones that came with my car are black and appear to be self tapping course threads with a Philips head.

Rear license plate installed with wrong screws

The self taping course thread sound exactly like what came with mine. They seem to work.

    Blind spot detection (audible)

Yes, it works without autopilot, but be aware it's more of a crash warning so won't activate until you start turning into a car.

loose window seal, is this normal?

Mine is like that too...I just tucked it back under the glass.

I find the M3’s rear visibility poor

If your side view mirror is adjusted so that you see the rear fender you are not adjusting it properly and will have a huge blindspot. Edit: But I agree rear visibility isn't great, but comes down to design and aerodynamics. To extend the rear window down further would mean a tiny trunk lid...

    Rear Spoiler Ceramic Coating Issue?

Good topic. So what is the suggested method to remove the coating in the area where the spoiler/badge will be applied? And do you suggest coating the spoiler too?

Adjustment to Fix Door Panel Spacing?

That looks pretty bad. My driver door sticks out a bit and my passenger door is a bit uneven...I'm wondering as well if they will fix or blow it off?

What the Frunk? Opened while Driving (2019.8.3) - Front Trunk Unlatched

I saw on a Youtube video that even with the stronger struts that the dual latch system of the frunk will not release the frunk while in Drive.

What the Frunk? Opened while Driving (2019.8.3) - Front Trunk Unlatched

Can you describe your door alignment issue and the resulting fix? Just cosmetic or functional? Two of my doors could be better aligned for cosmetics and wondering if the SC will do that or blow it off?

    Rear deck cutout

I believe the cut out serves another purpose in addition to a bass port (HVAC ventilation through rear trunk vents), although not sure why it needs to be so large. I've seen two examples online of the deck remaining covered and both had premium sound.

    Rear deck cutout

In another thread, can't recall where, the mystery was partially solved. It appears the trunk deck material (above the metal) is some type of fiber board and there is a 'punch out' section where the rear deck cutout is. For whatever reason some cars don't have this section punched out...

Reducing noise and keeping the door sills clean

You must have missed the source for the data I posted....it's at the bottom of the page ( a University study). Lots of impressive equations on the wiki page...as I suggested get a sound meter and try it out and tell me what you hear. I still believe that log is useless for what the ear...

Accidentally drove Model 3 through garage door

Yeap, I give him credit for coming clean and changing the title. It sucks for Churin and can happen to any of us. Some good advice in this thread for new owners.....creep mode and chill mode on until you get used to the car.

Reducing noise and keeping the door sills clean

I'll stick with 1db being imperceptible change and 3db being barely perceptible. Source below and that's the experience in my Tesla. Have you tried it out with a sound meter? Perhaps an expert in a sound studio or even a layperson with headphones and a tone test can notice 1db, but in a loud...

Accidentally drove Model 3 through garage door

So much for all those people complaining about cheap Tesla windshield glass ;-) OP still needs to change the topic to reflect that he drove his car into the door.

Iron Horse Sunday Downhill Mountain Bike Fits in Model 3 Trunk

I've seen a good hidden hitch on a Model 3 as well, so that's an option; but I've always been in favor of carrying the bike inside if possible.

Aftermarket Suspension with OEM Height and Softer Ride

What is the build date of your car? If you have the earlier suspension you might be happy to have it changed out by Tesla for the current suspension...seems to be quite a bit more comfortable from what I hear.

Tesla Glass Roof Shade Installed (Model 3)

I would be interested in a rear shade that only covered part of the glass, leaving the rear view open. My iphone sound app couldn't pick out a difference with shades on or off, but subjectively it seemed the frequencies may be slightly different with fewer sound reflections. The front shade...

Tesla Glass Roof Shade Installed (Model 3)

Put it this way, good luck picking out a cop from the cars behind you with the sunshade in place. Not really safe to be looking at the rear camera while driving in my opinion. Rear visibility is not a strong point of the model 3 to begin with and the shade makes it worse.
  35. M

Tesla Glass Roof Shade Installed (Model 3)

I have the rear shade but don't really like it. I'm sure it would help to keep the car cooler, but it sags and has some wrinkles in it and under certain lighting it limits rear visibility. I may install the front for hot summer weather and road trips, but don't really like it either, although...

SR+ Front window corner speakers no audio?

What software version do you have? On another thread I read that Immersive has been removed for everyone in the latest version. Are you sure there are actually speakers behind the grille at the bottom of the A pillar? I think standard sound is something like 8 speakers vs. 14 in premium and...

Ceramic Coat a new Model 3?
