In ice alternator will power the car if 12V is dead, what about in Tesla? If battery is drained so jumping it will help. But if it’s dead, it’s dead. One downside with dead 12v, can’t put car in tow mode and move it.

Yep, Japanese cars were and are on average more reliable according to consumer reports. this sucks for Tesla. We have seen failures posted here as well. So far looks like a handful reports. Let’s how long it will take to fix it.

It’s fine for some people those who live in big cities where there many options to charge. Like having ICE car and going to a gas station but maybe more frequently and or spending more than more time there. I personally would not buy electric car if I could not charge at home. Too much anxiety...

Some of those items will need to be done on Tesla such as brake fluid flush/check at 2 years and tire rotation every 5-10K and wheel alignment as needed. Rest - be gone!!!

What’s the warranty of pump? If a year, good chance. Sometimes your Credit card covers or extends warranty worth looking into that if Tesla does not help
