    New Center Console notice email

It appears that the factory install is the same as the current optional Model S console and the $1200 retro console is the model X design.

Did you push the panel below the rear facing air vents ? If it is like the X the rear cup holder is a press to release panel below the vents.

    Can't connect to Car.....

I think we both said the same thing. Off means it is always on. Can be a little confusing. Mine sleeps sound also with either setting on or off. I recall having the same problem on the S in the early days then after a few software updates it stayed connected better.

    Air conditioning

@essmd, Set the AC to foot and face, then the intake under the perforated seats picks up the cool cabin air and vents it thru the seat. AZ driver and really like the perforated seats. Precooling is Painless. It's a battery car. Turn it on and run it anywhere any time. You can even turn on...

    Lincoln Navigator Gull Wings?

Would work better if the bottom 12 inches of the door flopped down and was an entry step. Then the top falcon would be shorter and you would have an integrated step that was also the lower part of the door.

    Can't connect to Car.....

You might check how your energy saving feature is set. Our Model S cars wake up easy so I have this on and always connected. Our Model X cars seem to be sound sleepers so I have it off and always connected. Uses a little more energy but improves car wake up performance. Like all things...

    Air conditioning

I set mine to auto and then just adjust the temp setting until I am comfortable. The temp setting numbers don't mean much. Just find the number that works. Range mode will significantly reduce AC system performance. With the dual system you can make ice cubes if you want. I live in AZ...

    Random Model X sightings

Three Xs unloading at the Scottsdale SC. They said they had three trucks scheduled and were running out of room to park all the new cars. A few more X owners in AZ getting their rides.

Driver door won't open or close completely

Lots of folklore here. I have had two cars tinted and detailed without problem. Also two different video and photo shoots with the doors all left open for long periods of time. I have yet to have a problem that can't be fixed by just opening the door all the way and closing it manually...

A complete shut down or a scroll wheel reboot didn't clear the bug. That's a first.

Model X - Missing and most wanted features

The FOB has no front door functions buttons other than lock and unlock. The car will open and close the drivers door when the FOB is present in the proper locations.

    Model X review by Autobloggreen.com

Personally I kind of laugh at all the stereotype labels. The author came up with the headline and provided the labels. The political parties are like Coke and Pepsi. Both are sugar calories that will kill you if you drink to much.

    Model X review by Autobloggreen.com

@Flasher Z, I usually give the base price when asked. In this case they asked how the car was configured. I emailed the invoice so they would have all the configuration info. From that point on it became a 144k car. I would have preferred that the reviewer gave the price range but then in...

Model X - Missing and most wanted features

From your list I would pick: Number One, Driver profiles linked to the key fob. A retractable headrest on the second row middle seat. We have a six seat my daughter has a seven seat. Her only comment so far was it would be nice if the center headrest retracted into the seat when the seat was...

The point is simple. It matters little if everyone agrees or even pays enough attention to have an opinion on the matter. Many will be more focused on cat videos on Facebook. If you create a compelling product that solves a problem is it really that important that everyone agree with you or...

Maybe the solution is to build cars people want to own. Then they will buy them because they work rather than because they believe. Same result either way.

I ordered the 19s and was glad they offered it in 19. That's a much better wheel if you are actually going to take a rough back country rutted road. Now I don't need to take my jeep out to go back country. Low profiles look great but they are completly bizarre if you actually plan to ever...

My Story: 3 kids, a Model S, cancelling my Model X, and a...Volvo?

Personally I find the whole eMPG to be a little silly. It is a made up rating so people can still gas think when they EV. My math is much simpler. When I drive my Tesla it costs just over one cent a mile when charged with my surplus solar ( I can sell the surplus for 3.4 cents a kWh). If I...

    Falcon wing door concerns

KL670, I suppose all machines have their limits. My biggest complaint has usually been they are a little too sensitive. Falcon wing door concerns

The solution is actually pretty simple. You don't activate the door if it is not safe to do so. Just the same as you would not manually open any door if it is not safe to do so. Maybe we are so used to traditional doors we think the Falcons are somehow different. They are doors. You have to...

Is there a pedestrian avoidance system in Tesla?

The steering wheel accelerator interconnect has served that purpose for 100 years. Recently a flock of birds took flight across the front of my Model S while driving at 45 miles per hour in auto drive. The car aggressively slowed then immediately accelerated back to my set speed. So it not...

It does take a little practice and experience to not over accelerate and over regen. Most people are used to under powered cars and need time to adjust to the instant power and learn not to pull off the accelerator quickly. it is a new experience to learn to not dump the accelerator pedal...

The XC90 looks like a main battle tank. If it works for you enjoy. We went Tesla from Nissan Leafs because the Leaf battery range was so low. I can't imagine dropping to 18 miles. That would be a giant step backwards for us. We charge with solar at home so battery range was our number one...
