How are the pads working out on the street? Which brand/model are they?

The air does not flow back into the car after exiting the rear vents....vents are nothing new in cars...been around for ages. You simply can't pump air into a sealed box efficiently. The only thing unusual about the Model 3 in this regard is the large deck cut out...I've never seen that...

Hmm, I was thinking of mineral oil but having second thoughts based on @Nikola's comment. I'm not worried about it....if it starts looking bad I'm sure Tesla will replace or by then there will be tons of aftermarket options for replacement or existing wraps.

Chuckie, I found this pic (borrowed from another thread) which shows the left side vent...on the side of the car behind the rear bumper cover.

Immersion has always had three settings since I've owned my 3, off, standard, and high or something like that. It does seem to reset back to standard after software update for some reason. I have 50.6 and have not noticed any collision warnings. Did you check to see if your setting somehow...

No due bill here...didn't think to request it at delivery. I think I read in another thread that Tesla reassured another buyer that it is in their file and they will get it. I completely trust that this is the case, so I'm not worrying about it.

In my experience anything over 80 gets some regen dots even at mild temps in the 60F's. But as the OP postulates, having a few dots on your indicator doesn't mean you are losing regen necessarily. Not sure what the obsession with regen is on this forum. The hypermilers will tell you higher...

I also read something that a three year old Leaf had lost 50% of it's capacity. This won't happen with a Tesla. It has a very sophisticated BMS which individually tests and balances cells...I am guessing that this a big component of 'vampire drain', along with the four bluetooth radios, wifi...

I don't know but it looks to be no cheaper than RPM Telsa and with RPM you already have the product cut to the right length without spending a lot of time testing what length is correct and you have the tube joined as well. RPMs product looks to be hollow to me.

Ok, just received the sunshades from Tesla. Might be a stupid question as they seem quite simple, but any install tips or advice? I'm going to wait till the wind dies down here and do a sound test of my car to get a baseline before doing any mods.

After reading the referenced PDF they have initiated a service campaign. A recall has a distinct legal meaning and involves an agreement or mandate from the government that a certain action takes place.

The vents in the carpet are indeed at the top on each side but the vents to the exterior are low down behind the bumper on each side. Wouldn't make sense to have a vent on the top of the trunk where water could flow in.

How did the Noico turn out? Did you get any measurable noise reduction?

Great news! Glad to hear it. Dealing with brake issues was always one of the hassles for me in tracking my BMW M3. Either driving day to day with the pad deposits (vibration) or swapping pads before and after the event, along with all the other prep required.

ok but you saw the picture above with the baffle inserted from the factory right? Every other car I've owned seems to have figured out airflow without a huge cutout in the trunk. Shrug.

So I'm curious, did anyone have pad deposits on their rotors after the event? Vibrating brakes? This was a common occurrence with BMWs that were tracked hard with the stock pads.

The steering has three settings, comfort, standard and sport or something like that. I use standard and think the weight feels great.

If SOC is >80% I will see a few regen dots when temps are in the 50s and 60s. 50s are cool here ;-)

So when does the Battery Management System (BMS) do all of it's cell by cell balancing work? Perhaps this whole vampire thing is simply the BMS doing it's job?

I might try this on the forward portion of the rear sunroof, but I like the light coming through on the front. By the way, this insulation looks like what is inside the door panels.

The model 3 has auto lock and like most cars it locks when you start moving. Presumably this is so the car doesn't lock before all of your passengers have a chance to get in.
