Got lucky on this one. Picking up a MY in Portland tomorrow; the $7500 discount already showing in the app. Missed getting the matrix headlights though.

When I had my windshield replaced, it was a one day process: in in the morning, out the same day.

I prefer to go to the Safety/Security screen in setting, and power the car off. If I need to access the touchscreen or climate control I can bring them up by touching the brake pedal, however most functions still stay off (headlights for instance).

I am glad to see this coming. There are spaces in the Safeway lot that run next to 101 that are never used. The gap from Coos Bay to Newport will be a lot better than Bandon to Lincoln City. Hope they still consider Florence.

I had the windshield crack on my 2020 MX the first time I parked it in a sunny place, likely about 2 weeks into ownership. I took it to Tesla service; the service manager inspected it for impact damage. Finding none, he replaced the windshield free of charge. I have not had a repeat of this...

I drove for 55 years without all the Tesla safety features and autopilot, and they are very important to me. I have driven safely in many cars, but none are as easy or reduce tiring while driving as the Tesla. I would not go back to any of the nice cars I have driven.

That may be, though he is going to have to build them out faster than he is if he wants that. OTOH, the use of pre-fab charger stations may make that possible.

I have a model S on order, and plan on making a color change. I will take delivery in Portland, and would like to be able to drive the car immediately to a shop to get it wrapped. Anyone who can suggest shops that they have had good results with? I am looking mostly for a full wrap with color...

That is my best guess too. Problems of this sort I have tend to be in the same predictable places, suggesting the FSD is making decisions based on bad data for those locations.

You would not have to be concerned about that problem with the Mercedes system as described. Limited to 40 mph, it would not be allowed on a freeway. Imagine trying to drive that thing from LA to Las Vegas expecting to use L3 assistance.

Half the year on LA Freeways, other half on the Oregon coast.

They are used to that price. It is not so much the price that upsets people here as the CHANGE in price.

Not crazy to me. There are problems that would need to be overcome, such as unplugging from the charger, possibly opening garage doors, however that is a scenario in which the Summon function would have real value, if infrequently.

Whether I agree politically or not, I think it is an economically healthy thing for people to recognize the link between their political beliefs and their economic activity … and act accordingly. Vote with your pocket book.

So Harrisburg but on the I5. Well, it will be a nice alternative to Springfield, which has a dearth of restrooms and other facilities. I hope Tesla does not forget there are other roads besides I5 in Oregon that could use a little love.

I have a hard time believing Harrisburg as a location. Nearby Junction City where 99E and 99W meet makes much more sense. As long as I am playing God with Superchargers, move the Newport planned one to Florence, and put one in Corvallis. This is fun!

Since you clearly don’t want to be watching WHILE YOU ARE DRIVING, why no just stop at the nearest sports bar and enjoy it in comfort on a big screen?

Saw that Harrisburg coming soon. That is a bit of a puzzle to me.

Also the Newport Oregon Supercharger has been moved to 2023. Expected bummer.

I notice that the new Tesla map no longer shows a planned supercharger in Roseburg, but does show one in Sutherlin. I guess that is spaced better between Eugene and Myrtle Creek. Anyone know anything more about this planned supercharger?

I know I am late to the party on this discussion (nothing new there), but that wiper looks to me like it is asking some Tesla-hater to vandalize it. Too vulnerable IMO.

I got 2021.44.25.6, which has FSD Beta. I like the new UI on the vertical screen. I have not had trouble finding anything or reading anything. Have not had a chance to drive it yet.

Driving on the beach in Oregon. Raise the suspension up to high. There were several vehicles stuck in the sand at the place where I entered this beach, including a Jeep.

Making the pre-refresh S and X “Legacy software” which will not get full updates kind of makes you have to buy a new car to get all of the features. That for cars as new as 1 year old.

I love using Autopilot on highways. I love driving too, however going back and forth over the same route for years becomes tedious. Having Autopilot puts me in supervision mode rather than having to do all of the driving functions, which is much more enjoyable going over the same roads. I...

I wonder how many Tesla owners actually use Autopilot. Driving freeways in Southern California I see a lot of Teslas. Rarely is there a time when there is not at least one in sight. What surprises me is that very few seem to be using Autopilot. I guess that is so because those cars wander...

I am relieved that 336.8.8 returned TACC, AutoSteer, and FSD beta to function in my MX. I have been without since downloading FSD 10.4.
