So after spending a week with the lithium battery and then switching it to the lead acid battery I do hear a difference but it’s a very small one and not worth buying the battery just for this change. All the changes I’m about to list are slight changes but the system has an overall warmer sound...

So forgive me if I’m wrong but in newer model 3s there’s a trailer wiring harness behind the rear bumper can the 12v on this be used as a remote turn on? I believe it leads to vc_left and I have no interest in using a trailer so it would cut down on the amount of work.

I’d just schedule mobile service then if ur still in warranty

Make sure the puddle light is functioning properly then hold down the window switch until the window is fully down and hold for ten seconds. Then do the same but this time pull the switch up until the windows fully closed and hold it for 10 seconds again.

Can’t really tell from a video would need more details but the problematic areas for whistling I would check first would be the windows. They could be tilted too far out or in or too high or too low which would create an air gap.

Many people have been waiting for an upgrade and the mobile tech could have been mistaken. They won’t gain anything from irritating you so why would they lie about parts and with the factory shutdown and the virus I’d give them the benefit of the doubt

It might’ve been object aware acceleration but I think that just nerfs acceleration and doesn’t activate brakes

If it was AEB it would’ve shown the detected car as red on the screen and would’ve played the same sound as the autopilot red hands of death before it activated

Well the car is designed in California where everyone gets on the freeway and immediately hugs the left lane no matter their speed so I’d say it’s working as designed /s

I hear the same thing but I have a AWD. I only hear it on rough roads and thought it was my foot nudging the throttle because when I’m on TACC or autopilot on the same road it doesn’t happen.

Yeah it’s still a rattle it’s just each object has a specific frequency where it’ll vibrate the most and if it’s in contact with something else it’ll be audible it’s the same principle how speakers produce sound but in that case the sound is wanted

I had a rattle in the trunk where the subwoofer is. To find it I played a frequency sweep off YouTube, found the frequency where the rattle was the worst, then played another video of just that frequency. While it was playing I sat in the back seats and tried to locate the rattle by pressing on...

I sent the video to the tech at my local SC and he said all the model 3s he’s seen do this. He said he believes that the brake booster is getting partial power while charging.

That’s weird that the RHD cars don’t have everything on the screen mirrored. Is the speedometer on the right?

Nope brakes haven’t been worked on, I haven’t thought much about it since they seemed to work fine when the car was on. Does mobile service do brakes? Don’t really want to go to a SC with Covid-19.

When I fully press the brake pedal while the car is plugged in as far as it goes there’s a loud buzzing sound, is this normal? This happens every time the car has been exited, plugged in, locked, and sat in again. But when the car is on it’s not there. Is this something I should be concerned...

Picked up 3/15 woke car from app, and 5 mins later it’s downloading 2020.8.2

They said it isn’t but since it was under 100 miles they covered it

I checked and corrected tire pressure but my service center confirmed alignment was off and I had to take it in for another issue anyways.

Just picked up my model 3 today and on the drive home on the freeway the car was drifting in its lane (manually driving, no autopilot) could this be bad alignment? When I let go of the wheel it drove straight.

Found an identical car to my build in inventory, picking up tomorrow at 4! Delivery center said they're implementing a minimal interaction delivery due to covid-19 so we'll see how that goes.

Called the delivery center (Buena Park) and was told to expect vin in 24-48 hours and that I should take delivery within 7 days.

Last text I got was on 2/13 for 4-6 weeks in SoCal

Dang hopefully that means I’m taking delivery soon

Did anyone else not get a delivery timing update text these past two weeks?
