    Warranty on 'goodwill' service?

But Tesla will repair even the warranty items as 'good will' instead of warranty repair or similar. Is this a some type of loop hole to limit their responsibility?

    Warranty on 'goodwill' service?

Long story short, I had some issues with the brake pads/rotors on my Model S. Now I do know that the brake pads/rotors are wear and tear item so they aren't covered under vehicle warranty unless the initial supplied parts were defective. In my case, it was exactly that, the brake rotors were...

For Sale: BNIB Neurio Meter (Tesla)

Please move this post to 'For Sale' section if it should be listed there. I read and it looks like it's only for vehicles/vehicle accessories. I received an extra set of Neurio meter from Tesla that we didn't end up using for my solar installation. This item is a Tesla branded Neurio meter (not...

Using a Credit Card or Paypal to pay for Tesla Solar

Highly doubt you can use it for loan. I tried many times and they only accepted ACH for the down payment. If it's in full, I think you have a better chance of them accepting a CC for it.

Electrical issues with new load center

Yeah I wish I knew that but it looks like our electrician used the part of the kitchen circuit since the unit is right across in the attic.

Electrical issues with new load center

You are correct. The thermostat is getting the 24v from the HVAC unit that's on 120v (same circuit as the microwave). The main AC unit is 240v/50 amp.

Electrical issues with new load center

Update: Electrician just left few moments ago. Below are the findings: Microwave and Nest thermostat share the same kitchen circuit. Therefore, both lost power when the 15 amp breaker tripped. The AC did have power but obviously won't run if the thermostat is offline. The breaker was...

Electrical issues with new load center

Tesla is coming out later today to look at it. I will provide updates after the visit!

Electrical issues with new load center

I see. If I understand you correctly, are you saying that 12 ga wire (purple) is being used for AC? I see a thicker ga wire in the middle on the 50 amp and that looks like the wiring for AC to me.

Electrical issues with new load center

Understood! I will be requesting Tesla to send out an electrician to look at this since it's all their work in the load center. I just don't like signing the SVA for potential $200 charge if they come up with BS reasons and say it's not their fault...

Electrical issues with new load center

It does look like 12 ga wire. I will have to check it again. The neutral wire seems to be right below the pink wire in white. Is it normal for AC to be off as well if 15 amp trips? Does the whole breaker becomes inoperable until reset?

Here's the picture with the cover removed. Breaker is highlighted in red box. AC doesn't work either. I've to reset the 15 AMP breaker and then it all works until it trips again lol I'm not sure of the microwave breaker size in the previous panel.

Electrical issues with new load center

Just received my PTO this week and the system was finally importing! Later in the day, I noticed one of the breaker (quad 15/50) had tripped when I turned on the AC and the microwave. The quad breaker is in the load center and all work for was completed by Tesla. I reached out to Tesla this...

coolant leak in rear drive unit (12k miles on odometer) and Tesla says someone touched it so the warranty NOT applicable

coolant leak in rear drive unit (12k miles on odometer) and Tesla says someone touched it so the warranty NOT applicable

'After they do an estimate and make a conclusion, that ends up in the system and the next SC would be biased by that...' -- this isn't entirely true. I had issues with my car and one service center denied to cover it under warranty because of BS reasons. I took it to another one and they...

coolant leak in rear drive unit (12k miles on odometer) and Tesla says someone touched it so the warranty NOT applicable

@sparklehunt If you are unable to check out another service center (I can recommend one near you), it maybe helpful to file a BBB claim. In my opinion, this is a very effective way to escalate issues to higher ups (service related). Good luck!

    Powerwall-Monitor: Is this normal?

I'm running everything on a VM. I wasn't aware that InfluxDB will grab all the available memory. Most likely that's what causing the issue. What's the decent cloud/hardware solution to run this on? GCP free tier clearly isn't worth it.

    Powerwall-Monitor: Is this normal?

    Nuerio Device Connection Issue

Quick question, is Nuerio Device required with PW+? Does it provide any data for the consumer or is it only for Tesla ?

    Will it fit: Powerwall+

EMT but since the city and PGE had initially passed the inspection, we will go with the final inspection for solar. If it fails, Tesla is willing to get it replaced with rigid (split cost). If all passes, I will add a brace kit later on to remediate the situation.

Update: Finally, the installation is completed! However I'm still waiting for the commissioning to take place. Few questions: I'm able to login to the gateway and was able to connect it to my wifi network. In my Tesla app, I can see 'My Home' but it shows no data available. After logging in...
  47. komrade

    Will it fit: Powerwall+

Interesting. I wonder why PGE passed it back in 2017 if EMT isn't allowed. Could it be that the electrician just think it's EMT but it's actually rigid lol. I don't have any way to confirm that.
  48. komrade

    Will it fit: Powerwall+

Correct. Existing service panel and existing service conduit all passed inspection back in 2017 when we replaced the main panel. But the Tesla electrician raised the concern that it may fail the inspection and considers it as a violation therefore he won't tie in.
  49. komrade

    Will it fit: Powerwall+

Update: Tesla Energy crew finally arrived yesterday to began the install but a potential issue came up. The electrician stated that the riser conduit cannot be EMT and must be rigid to pass inspection (PGE). I briefly read the PGE "Greenbook" and found the following exception since my PGE...
