I understand the $500 change fee, but why another $500? The next gens I ordered were $2500 and the premiums are listed at $2500 also in the design studio now.

So if I can play $500 to switch from next gen to premium, then which are the reasons I should? A) They are generally more comfy (how so?). B) They are perforated. C) I could pick the white which would be cooler in hot temps (I will have sun roof, but hope to condition car temp on hot days so...

I've read on other threads that people have been disappointed with window tinting that reacts to the rear window and gives a purplish color. Have you guys experienced that? And would you say the rear window shade would accomplish the same thing as a rear window tint in terms of controlling heat...

Thanks again to everyone. Meeting with electrician went well. Reason we aren't doing HPWC is that this is a beach house, not our primary home and so we won't be charging that often. The cord will live in the car and just get pulled out every so often. Back home we're doing HPWC.

Thanks guys. The first link is very similar to other boxes we have near the same spot. They get rusty pretty quickly from beach spray. Might try the non-metal one.

The HPWC arrived last week. Hard to get too excited about it since the car won't be here for another couple of months. Feels like getting the baby's room ready months before the birth :p.

When they up the price of something after an order is confirmed, do they force you to pay the higher price? Hope not, but I feel like I read about that happening for people with a different option that had a price increase (was it air suspension, maybe).

Seems like a simple solution would be some sort of choice in driver preferences like "autoplay phone audio." Easy to make both camps happy, you'd think.

Sounds good guys. I'll weigh the rack and the bikes at some point. Don't think it'll be more than 200 pounds, but that rack is definitely heavy. Most of the bikes are pretty light though.

About how much is it to tint a Model S? Roughly. And what factors push the price up?

So are the "premium" you guys talk about the ones in the middle pic below (the "black leather seats")? I've only done a test drive in next gen seats, but I don't think I did a good enough job moving the lumbar up/down to get it to feel great. Which seats would you guys suggest?

You mind giving a price. Just curious. Seems to me that sort of thing has been around $3-8 grand depending on exactly how much is done. With the wheels and calipers included, I'm guessing it was really high. No worries, if you'd rather not say.
