Why did you not use the Can Coat on the Tesla? Any specific reason? I was thinking about using it when I finally get mine.

I cannot imagine that would have shortened the delivery window without being somewhat certain that it was going to be released in that time frame. Otherwise they would have just left it alone and jumped to the next window once the end of the current window approached like they’ve done in the past.

Exactly. The Model 3 Long Range checks all my boxes. Having to replace the Rims the day I pick up the car is why the performance is a no go for me too. Also, my insurance quoted the Model Y way above the Model 3.

Just did some insurance quotes and the Model Y is a bit more expensive per year. I had read on here or Reddit that people were getting lower quotes for the Model Y so I had hope. But now it’s back to being all in on waiting for a Long Range Model 3.

Well insurance costs totally killed that avenue. I was hoping what I read on here or Reddit was credible that they got quoted for lower insurance for the Model Y compared to the Model 3. So back to going on in on waiting for the Model 3 Long Range.

Starting to wonder if it would be wise to switch to a Model Y Long Range. If the 3 LR is truly waiting on the refresh, I am not sure I want to be one of the first people to have a refreshed model that has some issues to work out. Have some investigating to do now.

How much was the PPF if you don’t mind me asking. I’ve investigated, but all my price quotes were too high to justify something that doesn’t add to the resale value.

Good to know about no PPF. I do not plan on getting PPF either, just hand washing and maybe a at home ceramic coating, as I cannot justify the price for a daily car. Specially considering rock chips were not even considered when getting the value of either car I’ve traded in the past.
