Model 3 and Model Y no longer have radar

The hot news of the day is the lack of radar on new Model 3 and Y. I am confuse. So would we still get the obstacle around the car view when driving in tight garages and parking? i am a super bad parker.

Sounds expensive then at 60 a month. i spent at most 40s a month these days. about 600-800 km

    So that happened..... somehow

Actually i think that you should delete this thread and sell this car As is. If you are willing to take a hit. But either way, delete this thread.

    So that happened..... somehow

I have zero idea if you can claim Insurance again. But i think that you should really look at selling your Tesla right after it’s fixed next time.

Questions about Tesla in Montreal, No access to parking.

Turns out that Model Y STD RWD is still available as off menu item at the moment. Given that Toronto Snow can be foot long easily. I wonder if i should dig in at RWD Model Y. (I actually scrapped my thought of upgrading before model Y was “discontinued”). I used to drive S2000, never had any...

Model Y should be $6500 cheaper in Canada

Probably the yields of car that past their super low bar QA is so low that the cost is too high per unit, thus selling at under $40K US would not make enough money.

Questions about Tesla in Montreal, No access to parking.

Is AWD really that much better than STD RWD. I settled with Standard Model Y but now will have to look into Mach E given Model Y std not for sale anymore.

    M3:SR for 44k in Canada

Really makes you wonder if Tesla really would release a $25K USD EV when they can’t even sell a $35K USD one.

    M3:SR for 44k in Canada

Just emailed my advisor. I don’t mind trade in for a standard with full range. Slightly more tolerable.

Can I say *sugar*!!! At this price, i don’t mind a few hassles

Yeah, the RWD Model Y with 7 seats seems “best value”.

Warning regarding warranty repairs in Vancouver/Lower Mainland

Sigh... your comments are not reassuring at all. BTW, i am wondering if you guys think that the RWD is good enough for unshoveled snow driving.

Warning regarding warranty repairs in Vancouver/Lower Mainland

Is situation still bad? I am looking in trade in anytime now for Model Y but again the only holdback is quality.

Model Y SR RWD available to order for $56,290

Round trip is around 800 km. You do need to charge up in between.

Model Y SR RWD available to order for $56,290

EV owners have to accept the fact of the EV life. Sometimes it means that you can’t go very far without investing hours re-fueling. EV owners really should have a second car if they do need to go around outside the city.

Model Y SR RWD available to order for $56,290

Guys, you need to watch Bjorn Nyland on youtube. He just made a few of cold weather video with new Tesla Model 3. I think that one is concluding that the Heater is super efficient in cold driving. The only thing between the wallet and a Tesla is their quality crapshoot.

Tesla vehicles shipped with missing bolts and gaps between panels Let’s hope that this is only a US thing

Just read another report it's a Model S.

Model Y SR RWD available to order for $56,290

I suspect that the 7 seat configuration is going to be very similar to the Prius Plus Wagon which also has a 7 seat option. With that one, you technically has no space in the third row. you need to donate space from the second row + the front row donation. However, you can adjust the second...

    Which model self ignited?

No, the article just referenced a previous reported “self ignited“ Tesla. I am assuming that the six month new one that ignited is made in China. But i thought that the Chinese ones are better quality.

Model Y SR RWD available to order for $56,290

I mean that having the car in the shop will add on my list of griefs which might affect work performance. Already have to deal with lock down and supermarket line ups.
  27. B

Model Y SR RWD available to order for $56,290

Why do you buy so many when the first one is already a lemon. And what is YMMV. I really want to just order the Y with 7 seats (rumour has it that you can adjust second row to average out leg room for all three rows) and get it delivered without issue even have to wait three months away...

Model Y SR RWD available to order for $56,290

Never owned a Tesla. The 7 Seat Model Y is the only one that seems to be a trade up without selling a kidney. Yes, reading about Panel Gap issues, interior lining quick deterioration, obviously the paint horror stories and worst of all windscreen distortion issues, do make you stop and think...

Model Y SR RWD available to order for $56,290

This is exact one i want to order. Almost sent an email to the Sales Advisor who i had communicated with last year. But the tedious back and forth on fixes makes me worry. If my 5'9 medium build can fit in the back seat then maybe worth it. I haven't seen any pictures of the seats yet. So...

2021 Model 3 and Model Y Heating issue

Been reading about 2021 Model 3 and Model Y heating issues. News report mentioning overwhelming number of cars being fixed now leading to long turn around time. Anyone in Toronto having issues with their 2021 Model 3 or Y. Suspects is with the Heat pump.

They really should just shutdown their US factories and ship China made cars.

Car wash in winter at home [Need advice]

I did that bucket of hot water thing once or twice when i had the Mazda Protege 5. That was long long time ago when i did make effort to wash my cars. Gel the tire.

Model Y Windshield Distortion in Canada?

So this is on Model 3 too. Sigh. And i thought that settling for the Model 3 SR-Plus is an option.

Car wash in winter at home [Need advice]

There are touchless ones around my home. In fact, just signed up a monthly unlimited (2 per day) wash package. They are great. You just go on the app and get new Wash code while in line and just punch in when it's your turn.
  35. B

Model Y should be $6500 cheaper in Canada

Agree for lower price for obvious reasons. But i think that they needs to concentrate on consistently making cars that don't need to be returned for fixes. Consumers should not be the QAs.

Wow! A nice review of the Model Y in a Canadian newpaper (Globe and Mail)

Polestar 2 is closest. The price for iPace and etron are much higher.

Wow! A nice review of the Model Y in a Canadian newpaper (Globe and Mail)

I-Pace and E-Tron are on a completely different League. Just this point already makes this review fishy.

Car wash in winter at home [Need advice]

Maybe silly question. Can Tesla be washed in Circle K touch less car wash. You don't have to buy gas to get car wash there easily. There is even monthly plan now.

Model Y Windshield Distortion in Canada?

Sorry if i have created a duplicate thread. I am actually trying to convince myself to get a Model Y 7 seat if financially feasible next year. However, i watched this test drive video and the tester find Windshield distortion issue with the Model Y. I did a quick search, it seems that it is not...
