The east coast corridor is filling in!!! Just a few more key locations and Maine to Florida will soon be possible. May be late 2013, but definitely early 2014.

It's great to see sites that have been missed by us. Looks like we may be close to having coast to coast by the end of winter and possibly sooner. I know they may a bit behind schedule, but I think they are doing a great job. I received my car in January and to have this many SC's within a year...

Update on Merritt pkwy in Greenwich Ct. There are 4 SC's on southbound side, did not see the metal frames on the northbound side yet. The rest stops look as though they will open within a month.

No, the rest stops are being renovated both southbound and northbound. They have been renovating all of the rest stops on the Merritt pkwy. The building, pumps and parking area are all being renovated and it looks as though it's a month out from being completed. All I saw was the red color steel...

Confirmed, saw one SC frame on southbound Merritt parkway rest stop in Greenwich CT!!! Very small rest stop hopefully there will be at least two both north and south. I commend CT for a great job letting tesla put them in on the highways. Should be less than a month away from opening!

Does anyone know anything about the RI SC dot on the map? Looks like it's somewhere on the CT, MA, RI border. It's scheduled to be installed in the summer time frame.

These are new rest stops built from scratch, including the Milford SC rest stops. They have 30-40 fuel pumps, tractor trailer power,A/C, heating stations and they probably want them operational when they lose grid power. I am may be wrong, but will email the DOT contact to get an answer. Elon...

I agree, the generators are for the rest stops if they lose grid power. Hopefully they also power the SC's. I will inquire with the state to get an answer. I wonder if the solar panels sell back to the grid,or are they putting in a battery pack like Elon said to be used with the SC's exclusively.
