    Front end rattle/clunk noises

Update: A year after getting the car, our local service center was finally able to get replacement left and right front struts for an April 7 appointment, and they were replaced. Clunking diminished from about 100 clunks on the mile of road between home and the highway to maybe 10-15 clunks, but...

Parts on back order - timeline/recent experiences?

My M3SR+ came with defective or damaged front shocks in April 2019 when the car was delivered. At first, it was rattling and clunking at low speeds (15-30mph) on rough pavement. I was told it was not dangerous. I was told it might take a month or two to get parts. It now rattles and clunks at...

Waiting for parts for more than a month

I would suggest a good supply of patience pills I have had my M3SR+ for 9 months. It was delivered with damaged shocks that rattle and clunk on rough roads at slow to moderate speeds from Day 1. Still no parts, and even though my service center has a part number, they say there is zero inventory...

Model 3 WiFi Connection [Unable to Connect]

Owner of a M3SR+ since April 2019. The only place it has ever connected to WiFi is at the Montréal Service Center, and elsewhere it cannot detect any WiFi networks, even with 3 out of 4 bars of signal strength showing on my phone when seated inside the car. I have been unable to manually enter...

    Montreal Service Center Response Time

Update: blackscreen fixed by July mobile service screen replacement. They also replaced 1 Bluetooth antenna and the WiFi antenna: Bluetooth good, WiFi still non-existent. No sign of shocks. November mobile service visit replaced sway bar linkages in case it wasn't the shocks. Don't know yet if...

24 Months of Model 3 - How is Reliability?

March 2019 build SR+ received in early April. Fit and finish were irreproachable. 3 significant factory defects, none of which has affected drivability; 1 of 3 corrected so far after 7 months, 8,000 km. 1 service center and 3 mobile service visits so far. Main screen came up black 50% of time...

Left Repeater Video Corruption After 2019.32.2.2

Our Model 3SR+ built in 03/19 has had left repeater corruption issues since the inception of Sentry Mode. Rare or non-existent when the car is in motion, but very frequent when the car is parked. Pretty annoying, especially if there is a Sentry event. It very rarely has happened with the right...

    Model 3 black screen

Had black screen issues from Day 2 with our M3+. Had a very useful technician analyzing the issue, which was ultimately resolved by a screen replacement by Mobile Service. One thing the tech analyst had me do was hit the mic button (right scroll wheel) and say "Bug report" "Screen shot" at each...

    Tesla model 3 issues

Glad to hear that at least 2 Tesla owners have had a trouble-free experience! Far from the case for everyone. 3 months ago today, our M3 SR+ was delivered with 4 troublesome problems: rattling and clunking suspension (probably shock damage in transport); zero WiFi connectivity (maybe defective...

    Montreal Service Center Response Time

M3 SR+ rec'd April 6th with damaged suspension components due to overly aggressive tie-down in transport (rattling and clunking in suspension over small bumps at lower speeds - has its own thread). Mobile service spent a couple of hours checking and torquing things, to no avail, lowered the tire...

    Auto Pilot Controls disappeared

Same here. We had a 60-day free autopilot trial on the M3SR+ we have had for 45 days and yesterday, Poof! No more Autopilot. Not that impressed anyway: never got summon to move the car more than 6 inches; fairly good on divided highways (got to try once for about 2 hours), but not very competent...

    Front end rattle/clunk noises

Mobile Service technician just left. Said it was normal and all the M3s he has tried do that. He said the M3 "resonates" more than most cars. As far as I am concerned, it is not normal, and there is a production fix required. Our Smart ED doesn't do that and our 20 year-old Civic didn't do that...

    Front end rattle/clunk noises

Same problem from Day 1 on a March 2019 SR+ build received April 6. I have heard similar sounds from previous cars when ball joints were going, and in one case where the brake caliper pad retainer springs were missing. It is getting worse after less than 300 miles of driving. Time to schedule...
