Any problems experienced with p285x30x21 tires on rear of p85D with staggered wheels?

I'll have the same set up F 245x35x21 R 285x30x21 next month, just waiting for the rims to be delivered. In fact if you look up the tire size chart, 285x30x21 is 100% match with the standard 19" (265x35x21 is actually 2% smaller) @kmontoya Do you mind to share the rim size and offset for my...

Smart Air Suspension - Website error

I sent an email to Tesla last week about this and heard nothing! (48hrs service pledge??) Anyway I really hope the D would get a REAL set of Adaptive Air Suspension! Quote from MotorTrend Test: "Replacing the now-discontinued P85+ as the apex Model S, the P85 Dual Motor gains 197...

Tesla Model D, cancellation or order upgrade rights??

Frankly don't jump the gun.. Seems like there are some updates for P85D, but the most important upgrade in suspension seems missing I would say my P85+ can barely handle 416bhp (Still good but feels a bit soft) unless you are on coil and upgrade by yourself. Can't imagine 691....:rolleyes...

    Introductions (Hong Kong)

Welcome!! Just quick answers: 1. It is almost the same size as BMW X6, just a few cm longer. You'll get used to it and no worries. Probably some carparks you want to avoid (classic is Shatin Centre, see picture below) 2. Don't worry about that, it will hold. I've done parking around SOHO /...

    Tesla expands in HK

Yes they are recruiting and building up the network in Hong Kong, good young team and enthusiastic, however few things to watch for: 1. We charge more frequently due to City driving condition (Traffic and Aircon all the time) - The article saying HK is small therefore we can charge once a week...

    6.0 firmware for HK cars

Visited Tesla this morning and confirmed Hong Kong will remain at v5.12. The recent "update" is only from 1.65.40 to 1.65.41, which REMOVES the internet browser :crying: Apparently Transport Department forced them to do so because of road safety concerns! Well-done Hong Kong Government!! You...

Where does HK Tesla store pending delivery cars

That's pretty normal to put inventory in open air... All car manufacturers and dealers do that, Toyota and BMW put them in Yuen Long in worst condition. They'll move indoor and do detailing prior to delivery.

    6.0 firmware for HK cars

For my case - yes, however I'm still on v5.12, so the 3G connectivity fail may not related to v6, perhaps a fail update? I've arranged a visit to service center next week to fix. Perhaps they ditch the roaming arrangements and switch to local provider? ....in my dream...

Charger solution on private car parking space

Charger solution on private car parking space

You drive 50km per day = 1500km pm Assume average City driving = 270Wh/km = 3.7km / kWh ie You need 1500/3.7 = 405 kWh per month Depends on HK island or Kowloon side, roughly domestic electricity is HK$1.1 per kWh ie the Actual cost is approx. HK$450 pm If you refer to earlier posts of this...

Let's talk about range and driving style

Tried that...but I found the cancelling effect would make it less efficient then switching to "low". I still need some practices on getting used to the Regen, brake and "gas" relationship.

Let's talk about range and driving style

I've tried Standard Regen downhill, but way to slow (around 20km/h) and I always get high beamed Switch back to Low Regen is more natural.

Let's talk about range and driving style

I've done mostly city driving with heavy right foot and a bit of peak hours jam, averaged 276Wh/km, but I think normal city driving in HK should yield 250Wh/km. ie each kWh runs 4km Standard charge is 90% so my pack got 76.5kWh to start with. My habit is to charge the car when range drops to...

Sure! Let me know your plan. - - - Updated - - - Exactly what I'm thinking... I think the stick-on protector may not strong enough to protect the rim. The force that would hurt the rim is huge. Perhaps something like Produbs is better - No sticky tape but uses the tyre pressure to hold it...
