    Turn signal operation.

I have had the same problem of the blinker not stopping after the gentle press, but only on one side (can’t remember if it is the leg or right). I imagine it’s broken.

    Tesla Model 3 2018 Heater Failed a 2nd time in 9 months

today I just got the call that both my heater (2019 M3, so pre-heat pump) and harness need to be replaced. Something about mud and water and grass in there. Thanks for your thread.

    front camera fog frustration

i just had the car in for service, and they did some sort of water test and found a leak by the A pillar and so water was apparently constantly leaking into the interior of the vehicle, leading to high humidity, and I guess condensation in front of the front cameras. Car worked well on the drive...

    Tesla has worst customer service

I've had a model 3 for close to three years and from the time of placing my order through to today customer service has varied between adequate and terrible EXCEPT when interacting with the local mobile service guy (he's great to deal with). What is so frustrating about Tesla, in my experience...

2019 Model 3, Charge Port door open and close right away

I've been having this problem of the charge port opening when I push the sensor / charging cable button and then the door closes again after about half a second. I have to then wait 5 to 10 seconds to try again and the flap will stay open so that I can charge on the second go. Tesla wants to...

    front camera fog frustration

hi, thanks. Recirculate is off. The car has had all four lights replaced because of excessive moisture inside... so yes possible that moisture a problem, though this has been going on for months (just had it do it again this past weekend) and weather around here probably 50% dry days, so...

    front camera fog frustration

Finally getting to posting my routine front camera fogging issues. Don't recall having this problem the first winter of ownership (2019/20), but it's been a common, and frustrating, part of winter #2 with this car. It's just one of many issues I've had with this car, though thankfully most of...

Software update 2020.48.26.x update, font size problems

Hi I got the update yesterday (M3LR AWD). At first I thought it was neat but after 2 days of driving i agree that (1) too much dead space on left taken up by avatar and map is too small, (2) the battery bar should remain coloured and not be grey, but most frustrating of all (3) my trunk keeps...

    Camera condensation

for what it's worth, I've been getting kicked off of autosteer most days it seems of the last month or so. Seems like a random selection of cameras not working on any given day, but often including the front. This is my second winter with the car, but I don't recall this happening at all the...

Condensation between windshield and front facing cameras

I've been getting kicked out of adaptive CC lately, and I checked and indeed foggy glass at front cameras. I'll try the HI heating from app and rear defrost to see if helps, but annoying to see this is still a problem in Nov 2020. I don't recall having this problem last winter.

Cracked roof glass, defect or impact?

for what's worth, I just noticed a crack in my roof glass this morning, and I haven't felt any divots or anything. My windshield has two cracks, but those were definitely rock strikes, but my rear window glass cracked last winter and was replaced under warranty (Tech said a short in a defrost wire)

    offgrid house and M3

Hey everybody good to see some discussion in this thread. Myself I don't produce enough electricity to bump up to a 240-volt outlet. Interesting to learn though that 300 watts get taken away and so I should bump up to closer to 12 amps instead of the 7 amps that I typically charge at when I'm...

    offgrid house and M3

hi yes i'm 100% offgrid.... no electricity from the grid and so I produce 100% myself using microhydro and solar. The water heating, space heating for tenant suite, and cooking is propane (by delivery by truck)... I'm working on cutting down my propane consumption big time too!

    offgrid house and M3

Hi matsoutback, how is the offgrid house construction going? I just sent a message to the guy in California about his system. I'm curious as to what the specs are (or are going to be) for your system. I'm scheming about upgrades to my solar (and micro-hydro) to get me to a place of not relying...

    offgrid house and M3

Hi Moonfresh, I'm just coming back to this topic as I'm scheming about expanding my solar power system. I had a look at my solar charge controller and pulled off the production for the last 128 days (what it stores). In summer I'm producing about 3-4 kWh a day from my solar panels (1.6kW of...

  28. ceejay44

    RFID in a watch band

yes, how to put a chip in the band? The key for surfing and probably other activities is to not have to carry a phone... awkward to carry the card in a wetsuit. Please let us know how you put the chip and antenna in a watch band

All, I should've updated this a week or so ago when I made the return trip from Thunder Bay, ON back to Squamish, BC. the Petro Canada chargers in Ignace, Swift Current, and Medicine Hat are officially on I spoke to contractors building the Tesla supercharger in Ignace - they said they had been...

    Wiki Canadian Trip Planning

I am about to return from Thunder Bay to the west coast, reversing what I did 10 days ago or so. If you have a CHADEMO adapter, you're good to go I would think: leave Winnipeg with a full charge, charge at one of two level 3s in Kenora, then bump up in Ignace at Petro Canada, then charge in...

planning on Squamish BC to Thunder Bay ON via Calgary AB in October and back. Have a CHADEMO adapter, and Petro-Canada has a few level 3s open right now but still substantial gaps from Alberta to Thunder Bay. I guess we'll be going through US sadly

    Model 3 Mud Flaps

All, I'm disappointed to write that the front flaps of the North versions of the EV mud flaps made and sold out of Quebec (EV Mudflaps par Antirouille Bolduc) are designed too big. I wrote them indicating that I've bottomed-out on speed bumps several times and the response was, to quote: "Yes...

    Bluetooth woes

but how lame is that that the default key requires that! I've got a Galaxy S5 and it's so annoying that 25% of the time the phone key doesn't work (out more irritatingly, the door opens and music plays from my phone but i can't drive! )

    Model 3 Mud Flaps?

i just installed the North version of Eric's mudflaps. Overall easy to install. Was easiest to take the wheel off. I found it was not possible to push many of the clips/pins in by hand and so i had to get the hammer out. For rear wheels i had to drill a new hole as the second to highest holes...

    Bluetooth woes

I'm also very unpleased with my phone key and the Tesla app, though perhaps my phone and the technology is as much to blame... though yes it would've been nice to have been given a fob right off the bat!! Non-existent Customer Service

wow to live in sunny Australia or sunny California and be able to produce so much solar electricity! That's awesome that one could charge their car with their solar! Where I am the sun is only really shining half the year. I have 16A (24V system) of 24/7 microhydro and 1.6 kW solar so nothing...

Anyone else SOLELY relying on supercharging?

i live in an off grid house and can only put about 35km of range back on my M3 LR AWD a day (my house uses micro hydro and solar but not a lot of extra juice to charge a car) and so i use superchargers and the odd other public charger for most of my charging. Given my dependence on superchargers...
