Update: took delivery of replacement car today in Fremont VIN 168xxx and it was acceptable and drives great. A very fast replacement. A few glitches in the delivery software/system caused by replacement but no big deal. I couldn't help notice one obvious gap where rear glass meets trunk on left...

Some might care but not have luxury of delaying new car due to trade in, financing etc. For now Tesla seems to be putting all there eggs into having a superior design or FSD vs brand quality. Risky if the other brands catch up.

Got VIN assigned 160XXX was told build date 1/22 but no word on if lithium 12v. Guess I'll have to take delivery to find out but I'm hoping based on other build dates it has latest. I guess they don't assign vins in a strict build date order...

So I couldn't get an email from Tesla sales would only talk to me on the phone. They said the blog post is wrong straight up. Asked an "advisor" said the same thing no upgrade to SR+ from SR. I don't trust car sales people, but I don't think I can get anything more definite than that from Tesla...

Thanks, that's what I remembered. I'm asking them about blog post, will post what they say. I'm not sure how much I should trust what they say if I can't get it in writing at time of purchase.
