Would a m3 work for me or should I stick to a diesel

Depends on how often the 200-mile journey is. Once a month would be OK, but weekly would mean charging 100% regularly, which is a bit much. Long Range and Performance would be no problem. Get a test drive and see what you think. I moved from BMW --> Volvo --> EV. Would never go back.

What made you choose a Tesla?

FSD sold it for me. I wanted a car to last decades, so it had to be futureproof. The AI and vision direction Tesla took makes the most sense to me. It will take years, but I think it can be cracked. Not fussed about the speed, Chill mode is the best way to drive.

What do you do with your excess solar power?

No reference I am afraid. He answered a question about it on battery day last year. US cars cannot do it, but EU ones +technically+ can.

What do you do with your excess solar power?

It is possible for EU Model 3s to do V2G from a hardware perspective, but I cannot see Tesla doing a software update that would hurt their Powerwall sales.

Change charge rate from app please!

This would come in really handy if you have solar panels and no Zappi. I have to keep going in the car to change the charging rate from nighttime fast charge to daytime low and vice-versa.

I have an Ohme smart charging cable for sale on eBay if anyone wants to take a look: https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/164746377333

    Ohme's new smart charging app

I have used it for the Ohme Charging lead and without; the integration is pretty good. I had some issues in the beta, but they look to be resolved now. I use it with Octopus Agile. Not tried other tarrifs.

    Car won't wake from app

Just woke from sleep for me. Looks to be fixed.

Tesla Annual Shareholder Meeting and Battery Day

Did I hear them say that bi-directional flow is possible in Europe with a software update?

    Rolec EV Wallpod

Cheers matey! I think the fact that at least three Rolec users have had to source their own spares after the warranty ended says a lot about Rolec's customer service. The Google reviews are mixed, to say the least.

    Rolec EV Wallpod

Have you got the details of the new rcbo and where you got it from? Ta!

    Rolec EV Wallpod

Electricians want around £200 to fit even with existing wiring, which is a bit of a bummer. I could do it myself, but I do not fancy mucking about with that much power and a large metal object nearby :) I agree that Rolec is using better components now, but it is telling how much customer...

    Rolec EV Wallpod

I have had a 32 amp Rolec for over five years now and I could not recommend them really. This has been my experience: Years 1-2 - I had a 3.3 kWh Leaf and the charger worked fine. Made a gentle hum about as loud as a quiet conversation. Year 3-4 - I changed to an i3 with 7 kWh charging. Lasted...

    SR+ Audio Upgrade?

I tried to find a local installer, but no-one was interested. This is a handy link on the technicals that need to be done: Guide: Model 3 SR+ aftermarket to enable speakers and subwoofer upgrade install - Tesla Owners Online

V2G compatible battery, use your car to power the grid, sounds interesting

A Univerity of Warwick study found that daily V2G actually extended the lifetime of the battery and reduced degradation. http://wrap.warwick.ac.uk/88018/13/WRAP-possibility-extending-lifetime-lithium-ion-batteries-Marco-2017.pdf Shame the Tesla does not support V2G. Elon once wrote that the...

    USB controller for games

Works with Beach Buggy Racing, but I would not say seamlessly. Sometimes I have had to quit the Arcade and re-open, so I blame the app rather than the controller. Not tried it with V10 yet as it only went in my M3 this morning. Worked most the time in V9 with BBR, Asteroids, Centipede and Lunar...

    USB controller for games

This one is a nice cheap one: https://www.amazon.co.uk/gp/product/B01KVBL4U2/ref=ppx_yo_dt_b_asin_title_o01_s00?ie=UTF8&psc=1 Wireless so I don't have to muck about with a USB cable, just put the dongle in a USB hub to keep the USB ports free. Uses AA batteries. I just replace the batteries...

What Charge Cables Are Supplied With The Car?

It is a Mennekes blue 3-phase, but mine is shorter than 6m; probably around 3-4m.

What Charge Cables Are Supplied With The Car?

Pickled my SR+ up and there was no type 2 in the boot. I queried this and they fetched me a short one without any fuss.

    Birmingham Delivery

Just had a call from Tesla delivery and they confirmed the address is: 91-99 Summerhill Road, Birmingham, B1 3RH

    Birmingham Delivery

If you look on Google Streetview, there is an industrial/warehouse unit to let on the corner. Looks like Tesla is moving or using that to deliver. I'd check nearer the time.

Holy Cow Batman....I've got a VIN

I just got my VIN too. Weird thing is, it is in the 420996 - 424327 range on, Tesla Model3 RHD VIN ranges I would have expected later.

    More Uk-bound Ships?

I would not worry about the VIN. I've never had a VIN, but was offered delivery at the end of June (Couldn't accept as the bank messed up the loan application).

Vendor I am considering making UK/RHD Model 3 carpets/floor mats. Interested?

If it is a better price than Tesla's and decent quality, I'd be interested.

    Summon on a Slope

Has anyone had any experience using Summon on a 10% slope? My drive has a 9.8% slope to the level garage (measured with an Android app, so not sure how accurate it is) and the manual reads that it *should* work up to 10%. Has anyone tried it on a similar slope? Is there anything I should be...
