It does. But... PlugShare is owned by EVgo (thus has the motivation to skew statistics, if not outright suppress ratings detrimental to themselves). Their apparent business model is to re-sell (at a handsome profit) the data that they collect, presumably to companies including EV manufacturers...
There's no way to detect that the app is running in an existing tab "and just switch back to it" -- because none of the app is running at the time that decision is made. How the shortcut is handled is up to the operating system.
That said: there is a way for developers to signal to operating...

This issue should now be corrected. If anyone on an iOS device wants their home-screen icon to be more distinctive, delete and recreate it, and it'll now be the same as the favicon (a picture of a supercharger).
"Competitor Map" and "My Map" are indeed the same thing under the hood. The UX difference is that if you go to "My Map", then the map requests your geolocation in order to center the map, and if you go to anyone else's map, it doesn't.
On the check-in page, I've changed the destination label...
Hrmmmm. I thought that I had excluded 'CLOSED_PERM' from the GPS checkin selector. I'll have to check that out. (Edit: Nope. It'll let you check into anything, in case the status is wrong at supercharge.info.)
When you're looking at your checkin list, if you click on the date, it should load...
Is this request so that it's easier for you to check-in to superchargers after the fact, or so that you can work on planning your route? I'm trying to envision how this would ideally work. Specifically what would happen after you "select" some group of superchargers.
Not currently. The ability to import is something I would like to do eventually, but I suspect it’s going to be more complex than it might look at first glance… starting with the names of superchargers not being consistent at any given time, much less over time.
But if you felt like sending me...
Have you gotten logged out today, or would that have been yesterday? I reset all logged-in users yesterday when we switched over from the spreadsheet to the database, and I set it so that it should remember who you are for 7 days. Let me know if you continue to experience a problem with it...
Yes. You'll go to the same page on the site -- "Check-in Now". But after it suggests some supercharger, click on the link "Or, search all Superchargers". Then you can click in the Supercharger box and start searching for whichever one it was that you were at. Make sure that the date shown is...
supercharging.life has a convenience feature, for those who use it to check-in. Near the top of your competitor info page (click "Me" on the menu), there's a link for "View recent in plaintext". You can click it and get text that's easy to copy and paste into a post here. :)
Using Thinkje as...
It needs to be an address that you use to sign into Google; it doesn’t *have* to be a gmail address. If you use your USC email address to sign into Google (for mail or otherwise), that will work.
To a limited extent. I live in a relatively bad-cell-reception area, and I've used it both on my phone and in the car. The "Check-in Now" functionality (the most important part) is most likely to work with a slow/bad connection, if anything is going to. But we'll learn more as people use it...
In 2019, you collected 158 and your running total was 216. Your rank of activity that happened in period 2019 (most check-ins to least) is 13, out of the available 109 competitors I'm currently able to analyze. That puts you in the top ≅ 12% of activity in 2019. If we change the period...
From a practical point of view, if the electric was coming right out from the house, it would have been *way* easier to get the wire up the pedestal (pole) the way he did it, as compared to how you want it. Particularly if he used a rigid conduit/pipe.
I'd just put a hanger on the other side...
I daren't speak for others, but I assumed that it was a reference to "friend in-real-life", as opposed to "friend online". "Meatspace" is sometimes used to refer to the real (not virtual) world.
I voted yes. I have in the past, and I'm sure I will again in the future. But my reality is more nuanced than poll choices permit:
if no hotels in the immediate area have destination charging, then i don't have much of a choice.
if there is supercharging nearby, then that deprioritizes my want...
Sounds like Copythat23 and I need to have a conversation, to see if the technologies we've used are at all compatible, and if/how we might be able to work together.
I have concerns regarding (the potential for) sharing real-time user location with their in-app "friends":
It would have to be a...
Well, the website I wrote for this is ugly af, but it does almost everything needed by the competition. The only things I haven't yet implemented functionality for (that I'm aware of at the moment) are computing the century milestones, and improving the administrative tools (so the competition...
So.... I've been doing a little analysis. Do these checkins seem a bit erroneous to anyone else?

On Friday July 9 and Sunday July 11, 2021, multiple people experienced stall 5B not working at all. Cars would just say “starting to charge” and would never actually charge. 1B,2B,3B,4B,5A all seemed to be working correctly.
Today I found myself in the vicinity of Cambridge, so went over to check out what's up with this supercharger. The Sheetz station where the supercharger station is located has been completely flattened -- building and fueling area completely gone. There's a new building being constructed; there...
Howdy. I've been a jack-of-many trades in tech for most of my life, including lots of work in database design/management, and a small amount of web development.
@Big Earl sent me a link to this thread much earlier this year during the Tesla Rally in Custer SD... I took a look at what was going...
