As of tomorrow all of those four week invitations are now only three weeks away from [the date Tesla said they would be] getting their cars.

So that raises another question: does it have a split screen like the S, where you can keep the camera on but still see other stuff?

In the manual it states that the rear camera is activated when the car is put in reverse. Does this mean that, unlike the Model S, the rear camera cannot be activated during normal driving? I like to drive my S with the rear camera on because visibility through the hatch back window is not that...

My mistake, sorry. So you WERE living in CA when you made the reservation? That could explain it. I still think these are not hard and fast rules. Tesla certainly made lots of exception when delivering the Model S.

FWIW, I spoke yesterday with the SC Edison engineer who designed the high side of the Culver City SC, and he stated that TM has scheduled 50 superchargers for 2015 just within SCE'S service territory. This compares to 17 in 2014. I can't vouch for either number.

For public charger stations, you need to carry the J1772 adapter that came with the car. You don't need your UMC, as the adapter connects to the end of the public charge station cable and fits the port on the car. However, I would recommend bringing the UMC and your NEMA adapters just in case...
