Can't Auto Park with FSD - version 2024.3.10

I have a 2019 M3P with USS and have had Auto Park forever, and I still have it.

Do you hand wash or car wash your Tesla?

I wash once a week with Optimum No Rinse and dry with The Absorber. I've been doing this for over 4 years and the paint still looks new.

Tesla unable to align steering wheel - Looking for advise

This is BS. Centering the wheel is standard procedure after working on the steering system. When I had Tesla do an alignment, they failed to center the wheel, so I took it back, showed the technician the problem, and he said "wow, it is off. We'll have it fixed in a few minutes", and they did.

    Options for Wall Connector wiring

You wouldn't be able to run an EV charger off of this sub-panel because it would overload. Chances are the breaker on the main that feeds this sub-panel is 100A, so with 50A for the EV that is 1/2 the capacity. You should see if you have room for a breaker on your main panel for the EV.

FSD Owners - Do any of you prefer leaving it off?

I only use it on the highway, I don't have the patience for it on city streets. It is too slow on turns, very indecisive and slows down traffic. It's OK on a straight line, but I have to babysit too much when turning.

Here's a good explanation of how tire pressure changes with temperature.

Am I the only one who doesn’t plan to Tint their windows?

No tint here. I like other drivers to see my face, and I don't want to deal with issues.
  9. gcardona

Should I lower it or leave it?

Leave it. Not worth the hassle and possibility of damage. I have a M3P with 20's and the stock height and love it.

Anyone have a 6MT car in addition to their Y?

Before my Model 3 Performance, all I had was MT cars. Z-car in my youth, Maxima later on. I can say once I got the 3 I thought I would miss the MT, but I do not. The 3 is so smooth and powerful, when I go back to the MT I miss the smoothness.

    Miles instead of kWh?

KWh is an absolute measurable number that represents the energy used or added to the battery. Miles is relative to the battery management system's calculation of your car's efficiency, which can be different form car to car so it would not be a very good indicator.

How does dojo get the FSD training to my car? I don't mean merely OTA...

I think IamGary's question is how does the DOJO training get transferred to our cars. The output of the DOJO is a trained neural net(s), and that output is part of the firmware download that our cars receive. Our cars don't have a normal processor, but a neural net processor that runs the...

    Extension cord for supercharger help

There's a reason those lines are short, they have to carry close to 1000 amps (for the 350 Kw) chargers. You don't want to mess with extending it.

If you had to do it again, would anyone NOT get the white interior?

It seems the only people who would never get the white are those that never did get the white. I got the white, have had it for 3 years and it still looks new. In Texas, with 100 degree summers, it is refreshingly cool when I get in, even without pre-cooling the interior. So, Yes, I would get it...

New owner… I wish someone would've warned me

It's no contest. The Lexus' traction control is weak, so it's difficult to not spin the tires off the line. Using Draggy, my best 0-60 time in the Lexus is around 5 seconds, while the M3P does around 3 seconds consistently.

New owner… I wish someone would've warned me

My wife has a Lexus RCF (5L V8, 480HP), and when I get in it I feel like I'm in the cockpit of an F-18 (low, lots of instruments, loud engine sounds, etc.) When I get into my M3P, I feel like I'm in the alien fighter from Independence Day....

Alignment shop recommendation - North Dallas

Can anyone recommend a good alignment shop in the North Dallas/Plano/Richardson/Garland area? I just looked at my front tires and the left one is showing cord on the inside. Granted, they are the original Michelin Pilot Sports with 26,000 miles on them, but only one side is like this. Thanks!

    Tipping for PPF?

The Ask for Signature and Tip feature is built-in to the payment apps they use. I suspect it is an option they can turn on or off, and some decide to turn it on to see how much more money they can get.

Have any new testers with a safety score above 80 received the FSD Beta 10.69.2.2 update yet?

Well, I wasn't expecting this. I signed up for the beta program when it was available, but then seeing what was required to keep a safety score of 100, or 99, or 98, I said no way am I giving up my spirited driving ways. My safety score has been around 85 or so, and I just forgot about FSD beta...

    Supercharging speed - Pleasantly surprised

I've had my Model 3 for 3 years now, and we travel from Dallas to Austin about 3-4 times per year, with a SC stop half-way in Waco. I start with 80% charge, and by the time we get to Waco, we're at about 30%, and I charge back up to 80 for the rest of the trip. When we first did this trip, it...

New phone time; questions re: phone-as-key

I have a Galaxy S21 and it has worked 99.9% of the time. I've had maybe once that I can remember where the door wouldn't unlock in time, then I just used my key. By the time I got in and sat down, the phone had registered properly.

DIY PPF on 2022 Blue Model S

Yes, because this was the largest part that I was installing. Knowing what I learned, I would have used something like a power sprayer instead of the spray bottles, and I would have had 2 more people helping me to hold the film while spraying and placing it down.

DIY PPF on 2022 Blue Model S

The problem is time, especially for the large pieces with intricate shapes like the bumper. I think you need more than two people because it is important to keep the whole surface wet while you work out the kinks and bubbles. I found that there was not enough time to work one side before the...

Front bumper and side skirts. I'd never done this before, didn't realize what I was getting into. Had my teenage daughter to help me, and it was like the blind leading the blind. How urgent is "12V battery degraded" warning?

The symptom of a 12V battery issue is the car won't start. As others have said, you are lucky you got a warning. See if Mobile Service is available, use Road Side assistance to schedule. I would not drive the car until the battery is replaced, or you can leave Sentry Mode on all the time so the...

I've had mine for 2 years and no tickets yet... I find that with the speed limit displayed next to my current speed, I'm more aware of the current limit and adjust accordingly. Also, the silent factor doesn't draw attention like wide open throttle would on a large V-8.
