2019 Model S Raven Long Range, FSD, BBS Wheels

I'm just starting to see a few Ys in the area, they address the biggest issue I had with the 3, which is that it's not a hatchback. Enjoy your car!

2019 Model S Raven Long Range, FSD, BBS Wheels

Thanks! I do love the car, unfortunately it doesn't meet all of our current needs for a larger vehicle, which include occasionally towing a horse trailer. It's also way too nice for me to use during the winters here (no salt, but they do use cinders), while our 2017 e-Golf is not. That's my old...

Hah! I guess not. I had copied and pasted the text from my other listings. I'm starting with $69,500.

Mileage hit not as bad as I expected changing from 19's to 21's

364 is 31% greater than 277, that's an enormous change in the amount of energy used. How has your predicted range changed, or the battery percentage used to go 100 miles? Edit: After reading your post again, it seems you're getting much higher efficiency with the new setup, is that correct? You...

    Underdamped suspension?

I find it odd is that you would have a noticeable pitch oscillation. Normally an underdamped suspension would be more noticeable in heave as you travel over surface undulations at higher speeds. Our eGolf is lightly damped and this is noticeable over frost heaves, dips in intersections, etc...

    Lowering Raven?

I went with a 20" square setup for a number of performance and cost considerations, but yours is going to look amazing. I might go a little lower than my current +4mm, but I already occasionally scrape a bit around town if I forget to raise the suspension to at least Standard.

Electrify America compared to Tesla SC

I have had very mixed success trying to use EA (and other networks) Level 3 charging stations for my e-Golf here in the Portland area. Never a problem at Superchargers.

    Level 2 charging Amps accuracy?

I have an OpenEVSE that I assembled plugged into a 14-50 outlet in my garage. The OpenEVSE display shows charging Amps and a running total Wh for each charging session. I calibrated it to have good agreement with the charging Amps requested by our 2017 e-Golf (great car, BTW), but reads about 5%...

    Lowering Raven?

Thanks! I haven't tried to measure the rear camber yet, but I'll try to do that soon and also keep an eye on the tire wear. I've considered that I might need to install eccentric upper control arm bushings for camber adjustment, but maybe not if I do a sufficient amount of hard cornering...

    Lowering Raven?

Agreed. I don't have experience with the cars without dynamic shocks (pre-Raven), but this seems to confirm that the air spring height adjustment components have not changed (or not significantly). To add a little content to the thread, when shopping for aftermarket wheels and tires, I found...

    Lowering Raven?

Here we are set to Low at our first Supercharger stop, in The Dalles, Oregon.

    Lowering Raven?

We picked up the car yesterday and drove it home through some hail around the south side of Mt. Hood. I immediately removed the front license plate bracket and this morning I installed the lowering links and 20x9" BBS CH-Rs. I went with about +4mm on the links, and the most difficult part of the...

QuietTrack vs Avid Ascent GT vs PureContact LS tires, which is most efficient+quiet?

About how many miles were you getting out of the A/S 3+? I've been using a set of these on 17" rims on my eGolf, which is of course lighter and much less powerful. The OE tires were scary in the wet and these are exceptional. They worked okay for me on packed snow and ice (I'm a ski instructor)...

    Lowering Raven?

Good question. My assumption has been that the air spring system has not been changed, at least the self-leveling and ride height controls. This comparison photo seems to show similar air spring components. The photo on the right (Raven) shows a small green component behind the top of the...

    Lowering Raven?

We're waiting for our 2019 Long Range to be delivered, and I've already collected a few toys to install right away. Primarily, 20x9 ET30 BBS CH-Rs with 245/40-20s and Airmatic lowering links. Has anyone used adjustable or longer links on a Raven yet? One reason we ordered one instead of...

lug nuts need to be changed or not with aftermarket wheels on 5mm spacers?

I'm not sure anyone can answer this, because unless there's some standard that I'm not aware of, the thickness of the wheel hub is likely to be different with different wheels. I would only trust the result from someone using the exact same wheels. I have a set of BBS CH-R 20x9" ET30 wheels with...

    Wiki Model S Delivery Update

Good to know and good luck! We ordered our Raven LR on 6/5 and don't have a VIN yet, getting nervous about the rebate. I have a number of items here waiting for its arrival, including 20x9" BBS CH-R wheels, Airmatic lowering links, windshield and roof sunshades, 14-50 adapter, etc.
