Model Y Performance 21" Tires - Larger, More Comfortable Fitment Details and Experience - Michelin AS4's (With Photos)

Costco was a big disappointment, they can order the tires but will not install them. The service rep explained that they could not install since they are over 3% height variance over oem and he guaranteed they would rub. Looks like i'm going elsewhere.

Model Y Performance 21" Tires - Larger, More Comfortable Fitment Details and Experience - Michelin AS4's (With Photos)

Saw that post and judging by 13 pages of this thread, hoping there exerpierence is the exception and not the norm.

Model Y Performance 21" Tires - Larger, More Comfortable Fitment Details and Experience - Michelin AS4's (With Photos)

Called Costco and they said if I go in person and order they can get AS4’s for 295/40/21 $436 265/40/21 $402 Will go in and order soon unless there is a newer better solution to help my bumpy ride. Thanks for this great thread, looking forward to the improvement but not the Speedo problem.

    Four Bike Rack

Well said Watts Up Mounting bikes on hanging is a bit like Tetris as well. The Thule has a lock but I haven’t used it in a bit. I believe there might be an issue since the hitch is recessed a bit behind bumper. Think it works but you need to make sure lock is on correct side and possible sneak...

    Four Bike Rack

It’ss good rack but I prefer my 1up. Thule works since it’ll meat the weight requirements with 4 bikes. It’s easy to put the bike rack on but make sure you get the right lock as the hitch is a bit embedded. I don’t like 4 bikes on rack as they are very close together and will scratch. Also be...

"Acceleration Boost" option, discussion as to which models and how much quicker

Why, why, why did i read this thread when i'm already tempted. We should add a disclaimer that you will only want the boost more after reading.

Current real world 0-60 times vs. advertised for all models

What effect does altitude have on our 0-60? IMO on ICE its >1 second, forced induction does better "For every 1,000 feet of elevation you lose 3% of your engine's power compared to being at sea-level

For AWD owners wanting a P3D-

Excellent thanks everyone. Somehow it makes me feel better knowing that I could get the full Performance with a tune even though I wouldn't unless offered by Tesla and that's probably never going to happen. @MagnusMako - mind sharing some pics of your front MPP Rotors/TSW's? Do you feel the...

For AWD owners wanting a P3D-

Can someone help me figure out my AWD's rear motor please I have a build date of 9/18, an empty plate and a P1085693-30-F inverter plate Amazon Photos Per Scubastevo80's info, I believe I fall into the Blank P3D group: Basically, the data points to all of LR cars sharing the same rear inverter...

    Model 3 with 5 bikes

I have a 1up and have put 3 bikes on it and have the additional 4th rail add on but have not used it yet. It is an excellent quality rack that my family and I have been using for over 3 years. I have a stealth hitch on my X3 and haven't had 1 issue with the rack or hitch. I once scraped the...

    18" BBK Options?

Emailed MPP regarding the 368 x 35mm rotor / Stoptech ST60R calipers and below is there response: StopTech is currently still closed. Rotors are in production. So we'll be looking at another little bit until we are able to source calipers. Regarding the OEM 18" wheels - unfortunately, no...

    18" BBK Options?

Tires are definitely on my list but trying to avoid swapping rims as my wife weekend drives my car and well curb rash is really painful on my eyes. That being said, I do have my eyes on these beauties (HRE FF01)

    18" BBK Options?

IMO the wing is bit much but the brakes are very nice. Fingers crossed that most 18" wheels include stock rims. "The best feature of these calipers is that they are incredibly low profile. Despite using a massive 368mm rotor, we are able to fit most 18″ wheels over these brakes, even the RPF1...

    18" BBK Options?

Thanks @MasterC17, looks like ill start looking for a used set of front and rear M3P brakes. @Msjulie The MPP 365mm kit looks very nice for the price.

    18" BBK Options?

@Knightshade I bought my M3D with 5k miles and have 15k, during my daily driving I barely touch my brakes. I actually wish I could control/increase the regen braking. I had a scary high speed (85 mph) stop and the occasional early morning Angeles Crest run with my friends in (M2, 911) that makes...

    18" BBK Options?

Thank you Knightshade and MasterC17, excellent article and couldn't agree more although the number gave me a bit of a headache. Yes, tires are on my shortlist and will probably be replaced within 5k. My last car was a modified Audi A4, long list of mods (turbo, IC, injectors, coilovers..) and...

    18" BBK Options?

I have looked into MPP's 2 piece rotor kits but can't see how using same size (although lighter) rotors would decrease stopping distance. Thought about swapping pads and adding stainless stainless steel brake lines. The truth is I would like to find a way to add bigger front rotors, rears would...

Group buy - MPP front rotors for RWD and AWD (Non Performance+)

I have a P3D and do not want to change rims, is this the only option available? Also will swapping rotors decrease stopping distance? Thanks everyone - very close to putting down my deposit but I need to know if this will improve my lack luster brakes.

    Bilstein Looking at Model 3

Sorry - ride height should remain stock?
  20. T

sell 18 inch Michelin MXM4 and upgrade to 19 inch wheels and tires for summer. Yeah or Nay?

Keep the stock 18's or buy lighter 18''s and put stickier tires. Range will suffer a bit with the stickier tires but not as bad as going with 19's

    Bilstein Looking at Model 3

I'll be Bilstein's first P3D if they can improve ride and handling. If its just shocks I would presume ride height shouldn't be stock.

How to Install Bag Hooks in the Trunk of the Model 3

Loctite helps with bonding, different colors have varying strengths. Loctite's statement is confusing but in general I keep it away from plastics. "When using Loctite, be sure that it will contact only metal parts; or, if it will contact plastic parts, be sure that they are resistant to the...

Hitch and Bike Rack installed on Model 3

How is the hitch with driveways, speed bumps... are you scraping the bottom of the hitch? I have the eco hitch on my X3 and managed to scrape once entering a parking structure but otherwise its fine with some careful driving.
