Not true with regards to displayed range. My 2018 Model 3 Performance still showed the rated range 8 months after purchase at 100%. More info from Tesla's website:
First, I want to mention that I suspect this range mismatch with EPA is probably not an issue as N..8 has pointed out that TeslaFi models used to compare to their car and for me, the 5 models used to compare to mine, all show similar ranges. Also, I haven't seen any responses yet showing 310...
I supercharged once to 100% to see if it would adjust my range up and now I've lost 3 miles of range, except for the charge to 70%. That one increased my range. The mystery of the BMS....
It's really strange that they wouldn't ensure the BMS is calibrated to show 310 miles (EPA range) on the main mileage on delivery vehicles, leaving us to wonder if there is already something wrong with the battery. My 2018 Model 3 was 6 months old and had 4600 miles on it and still showed the...
This thread is for the general discussion of the marketplace listing 2018 White Model 3 Performance w/MPP components. Please add to the discussion here.
So the other day I charged to 304 miles at 100% with under 300 miles on the vehicle. Today at 385 miles on my odometer, I got the Commander module hooked up and it shows a 4.24% degradation. Could this be my BMS not being well calibrated from the factory?
Someone on Facebook said that their Model Y LR on pickup was 288 miles at 96% at very close to the same temperature too, so it appears to be a case of the BMS like the moderator pointed out just providing an estimate. At the very least, I feel it is probably not uncommon to have that type of...
I switched to percentage on the 3 a long time ago. I was just expecting to confirm it was at 310 miles at 100% based on no previous drives on it. Thanks for confirming it's not unusual. I have found that with TeslaFi range (which I think basically just does what I did here), my range would...
I bought my Model 3 Performance with 4600 miles and 6 months of use and it was at the rated range for the first month, so this is my first time with an actual new Tesla. :D
Yeah, one of the reasons I went ahead and went with the LR vs the P was because I've found myself looking more to optimizing the drives and being gentle on the charges. I'll be charging to 50 or 60% until I take a road trip in late May where I'll finally let it charge to 100% right before...
The sales associate told me I would be able to, but when I went into my profile, it was like a new setup and none of the settings were there. So I went through and set all the AP, security, font, etc settings up and drove home. When I got in my Model 3 and went to profiles, it had a button to...
I just took delivery of my Model Y Long Range a couple hours ago and brought up with the sales associate that the max range calculates to 301 miles and not 310 miles. The outside temperature is 55F. I could swear I've never seen temperature affect the mileage vs percentage before. Did I get a...
It's good to know for the next one at least. They were reluctant at first. I should've just pressed it harder earlier in the reservation process. Also stinks that there's nobody to talk to outside of the centralized phone line. The advisors are unavailable to talk with on the quarter-end deliveries.
I wish that were the case. I tried doing that to get back to my Model 3 at the same SC a couple years ago with their credits and had a hard time finding one. I ended up having a friend pick me up and take me to his house. I was almost ready to start trying to hop to see if I could try to get an...
If not, has anyone had luck getting their location to be more flexible so, for example, you don't have to ask a friend to also take PTO in order to drop you off?
Wow! My discount was $2600. I returned after seeing some people getting 10% in their area and searched again with different colors and never found one that good. Still very happy with mine, but you definitely win the (hot) cake! :)
I was all set to go with them then saw they have no back lip on the front mats, so if you have melted snow on the mat and drive uphill, you are going to get wet carpet according to one review. Seems like a bad design.
It was definitely a pleasant surprise to have an extra $1K taken off after already placing the order. It's also why I tell people not to just cancel the order even if they never plan to spend $80K or more on a vehicle. Heck, I'll hold onto it until my next Tesla probably. Maybe by then, I'll get...
I charged at a destination charger just a few months before having the wall connector installed in my case. It could be a coincidence. I'll find out in about a week when I bring my new Model Y home. If the PCS fails in that shortly after install, it will be a phone call to the wall connector...
I think it stacked. I just found the Motor Vehicle Purchase Agreement and it shows a $3000 credit. That was awful nice to see an extra $1000 off after placing the order. 😀
Can I expect:
1. To get $3000 discounted ($2000 from the first offer and $1000 from the second) and both offer texts said the offers could be stacked.
2. Get $2000 discounted (despite email, offer text said nothing about the $1000 referenced in the email.
3. Get $1000 discounted (second offer...
I called and they confirmed it is actually in transit (implying that it isn't always in transit when it claims it is haha) and that it should arrive on the 23rd so I should be able to pick it up well before the deadline. Pretty sweet deal I think. Excluding the transfer of the FSD, it was...
I see now where I was looking at it wrong. Since the spec and the pricing was the same on that car, but the pricing was different from an identical spec car at another location, I assumed it was the same car. It explains why it showed the In Transit on it. I figured it was just a website...
I was looking at an inventory Model Y in Cincinnati. I'm much closer to Lyndhurst and it has a button to deliver to Lyndhurst, but in the breakdown, doesn't offer any additional cost and it doesn't offer the time frame. I'm looking at getting it prior to March 31st for the deal. Anyone have done...
My PCS failure occurred after I spent over $1000 to have a certified electrician do the breaker and wiring upgrade and install a new wall connector. It sucks to spend that much when I could've just bought a second mobile connector and used the existing plug, breaker, and wiring without having to...
I don't think the conversion rate is going to be nearly that high, so you may get your vehicle even sooner. The price of the MY AWD was actually higher than the estimated price of the CT AWD at announcement. The demand for vehicles near $50K is much higher than it is for one near $80K. You...
Tesla remotely diagnosed it and quoted $1650 to replace the PCS. I think I'll cancel the appointment because spending this amount just to get the extra 16 A charge rate doesn't seem worth it. I had looked at my TeslaFi logs and saw I had no issues in April at a casino destination charger so...
Enhance directly. I kind of splashed them with YouTube and Twitter comments and they are now sending me the correct adapter. Deleted the twitter and YouTube comments, but will leave this up here in case anyone else happens to get the wrong harness in the future, they'll have a confirmation about...
This will definitely be the last product I buy from them. Their support is terrible. Slow response and just told me to use the second cable, which I had already explained to them didn't work.
I just am nervous about trying the passenger adapter. If it is actually wired differently, it may...
That definitely looks like a candidate. I am starting to believe they sent me the wrong wire harness, though (and the video references 2021+ models so it may not match mine). I figure if it was the correct wire harness, someone in here with a 2018 Model 3 would've received it with such and...
They sent a harness with two medium sized connectors that fit mine, but it also had two smaller connectors. There is no other cable behind the removed panel besides the one. Here is a picture of the connectors that don't have a matching cable to plug into. The bigger plug (smaller than the one...
I just bought these buttons. The video linked from the app (no instructions came in the manual or on their site) shows the connector included in the box being connected, but there is no information on connecting the alternate harness for earlier models. I figured both cables would be there, but...
I understand that completely. If I run the cabin air, even at 80F when the garage is 80F, it somehow just works. I almost want to pay just to understand why, but at least I know this is a workaround to get a net 9 or 10 KW. It's not exactly efficient, but will be good in a pinch
They finally responded to my messages after I wrote "Hello?" followed by "It's been over a week since any communication from Tesla" with "Hello, your appointment is currently in line to be reviewed by a technician. We apologize for the delay as we are working to address all appointments in the...
Some interesting info from charging yesterday. In the morning, the outside temp was 76F. I left the car for about an hour and it dropped in current to 32A. Later, i went to the same charger it was successful at, but left it and it dropped after maybe 30 minutes. I thought about what other...
Yeah, it was outside where the temps were in the 80s and my garage was around 95. I'm not sure what my garage was at when it failed last night. I'm heading to Michigan today but when I get back tomorrow, I think I may keep my human door to the house open to the garage to cool the area near it...
I was looking at my Emporia data and it looks like it made it about 41 minutes before dropping initially. I found a publicly available wall connector and am charging now. I've been at it for 15 minutes and have 50 min left to get to 90%. If it doesn't cut down before 90%, I may just bump up...
