    142 kW Supercharging rate on 2018 S75D

I have a 2018 S75D with 33,000 miles on it. It has the original 350V 75kWH battery pack. Until today i have only ever seen around 117 kW max charge rate when at a low SOC with a warm battery. Today at around 21% SOC, pre-conditioned battery, 14 degress C outside I saw 142 kW at Edinburgh...

Whisky in Scotland. Irvine Welsh is the only scot to put an E in his whisky. It's the peat in the water that makes the water so special (and brown). The rain can be portrait or landscape in format. Our electrons also come out the chargers sideways which is why it takes Tesla so long to...

Back in autumn 2020, when Alpha was the fashionable COVID variant, there was some suggestion of a couple of the old Aviemore V2 chargers going to Thurso or elsewhere in Caithness (the rest went to Inverness) . I asked Highland council who suggested Tesla had been looking but nothing had been...

I have Michelin Cross Climate + on a Model S in Central Scotland 19" wheels. I make regular trips to the Highlands, too. Cross Climate 2 is the newer version of the CC+ I think. One thing to watch for is that they are good in snow but not great in standing water. If you are lifting off the...

Seems unlikely - there are other sites in Scotland that I would expect to be a priority. Edinburgh Newbridge is getting an addtionaol 8 stalls currently and you can get there on the A720 City bypass without having to drive through the city. There are 50KW rapid chargers at Sheriffhall park &...

You're not behind in France. You got rid of your monarchy before us. We are still waiting ;) TeslaFi shows there are certainly some cars in France on 2021.40.6. I once missed a software update i think because it failed to fully download. Maybe you'll skip a version and catch up.

Does the M3 need a Snow Mode?

That's right. I have had Crossclimate + tyres on an MS75D since November. Recently in the snow and at -8C they were good for grip and traction but if you lift off the "gas" anticipating a slippery bend regen could catch you out and result in momentary loss of traction. If you are used to an...
