I'm sure I read model 3 has disc drying function so there should never be a case of needing to emergency stop on wet discs.

Well this is the first update in more than 3 years that has changed the UI in a way I didn't want. I'd much rather the music player were below the map as it used to be. Maybe the only way to keep everybody happy is to make some customisation available.

It would seem your words "Battery depleted to zero" were incorrect. Did you mean you were concerned by the rate of discharge? If so this is just another case of overthinking when the firmware engineers have done the thinking for you!

I'm not convinced AB will be available on the newer LR. The slower 0-60 in the SR and the lack of AB on the LR both point to a pack less capable of very high output levels?

Sounds very old fashioned. I’d be very surprised if the control electronics doesn’t know immediately if there is a problem.

I find the view of the speed just fine. Before the Tesla I’ve had BMWs onwards from a 1983 323i... never could I see between 40-80 mph because of the wheel. I was a great fan of the cars and had to learn to live with it. I do wonder wonder why people who prefer the tried & tested solutions...

Disagree. The problem does exist. Did acceptable solutions exist? Yes. If Tesla had accepted existing solutions they’d be making inline sixes.

The only way seems to be by reducing the desired charge level. I allow +10% per hour. (75kWh)

You can still use scheduled charging to use Octopus Go. You can’t do that and use scheduled departure.

Easily is the answer! The system is likely DC coupled and with high side current monitoring. Just set the output to some DC level and check for an increase in supply current. There are many other ways of course. My 2011 530d would report open circuit speakers and they were dumb 2 wire speakers.

Unlikely I think. You only need to check for the speaker being present so why not use a wide window say 2-8Ω.

Let's hope they can make it a permanent config change.

With the motor running at 26kW I’d guess there would be way less than 3kW dissipated as heat in the motor.
