Bought a 2019 C7 Grand Sport this year. Model 3 is a great everyday, fun to drive car. Having a manual na v8 rwd is too enjoyable not to have, i was craving it. It will be my last ice car to keep forever.

Yeah, that's just a default message. At this point I would set your expectations at waiting about a month for the performance model 3 (hopefully sooner). They will message you about the delivery date and VIN.

I tried to get the 19" wheels with all seasons with the performance package (for winter coming soon). I was told "you get the exact configuration you ordered". I thought that might be easier for them.

Since it seems like there are still people waiting for their VIN since mid July (maybe even longer), are they setting up to do all the performance orders at once? Does that make sense? If so, it would be nice if they would just say that. I think that would help with the frustration of not...
