Heated seat elements showing through on white seats.

Sorry for the late reply, I don't log on here often. Looking at the seat now I can no longer make out the lines that were there, I think general cleaning over time have made them fade away. Still love the white seats and they look great after 2 and a half years and with 2 kids under 8!

    Hansshow Power Frunk Trouble

Hi, I have a problem with my Hansshow frunk opener, I think the suction soft close motor has failed, the frunk opens and lowers fine but doesn’t latch closed. I have to push it down manually. I’ve been in contact with Hansshow on WhatsApp and they said as I have an older V2 version (bought in...

Interior camera question - is it being used currently but not reported?

They should relocate that camera to the drivers footwell to put an end to the unintended acceleration claims!

Heated seat elements showing through on white seats.

Tesla said it was colour transfer from damp clothing and having the heated seats on. I can’t really argue as I can’t pin point when exactly it first happened. Just have to be a bit more aware of wet coats and not putting the heated seats on.

Moisture condensation in taillights, fog lights, etc

Yes, I’ve seen so many post about the taillights but very few about headlight condensation. I agree it’s rare, thankfully. Even the Tesla technician was surprised to see it.

Moisture condensation in taillights, fog lights, etc

I had both my headlights replaced by Tesla this week for water droplets inside. It was my second attempt to get them to change them and luckily on the day I arrived at the service centre it was obvious there was drops of water inside. They said the headlights had faulty water seals and need...

Heated seat elements showing through on white seats.

I’m starting to agree that it’s colour transfer, it just strikes me as strange that it is so defined and follows the heating elements, I thought it would be more blurred but I guess the heat exaggerated the colour transfer. Im seeing Tesla on Monday for some other issues so will see what they...

Heated seat elements showing through on white seats.

Thanks for the reply, I honestly can’t remember what jacket coat I was wearing or my wife as I can’t pinpoint exactly when it happened, just noticed it one day and seems to be getting gradually worse. I’ve treated the seats with Gyeon Leathershield prior to the marks appearing. If it is marks...

Heated seat elements showing through on white seats.

I noticed these faint lines on my white drivers seat recently but just put it down to some colour transfer but on closer inspection it looks to be the heated seat elements showing through. The marks don’t go away with cleaning and I don’t want to try anything too abrasive until Tesla have had a...

Happy New Year ☹️ — bumper damage

Its personalised from the DVLA, my surname is Twigg and it was the closest (cheapest!) I could get. Also in the UK so it stood out to me as most US plates don't look like that!

@TW14 9LF hey sorry to hear about your bumper, but I noticed we are nearly number plate buddies!

    Kerb rash / alloy scuff

The wife has managed to scuff both rear 18” wheels, not badly, just a few small chips in a small area. I’m not too concerned about the damage visually but want to know if there is a way to protect the bare alloy metal from possible corrosion in this damp climate?

Walkaway lock at home ... I don’t want it

That’s fair enough, I’m not out to criticise anyone’s decision on leaving their car or home locked. Im just surprised the insurance company will still payout if a home or car was left unlocked. I know in the uk your insurance would be void if you left your car or home unlocked.

Walkaway lock at home ... I don’t want it

I was simply asking a question. I don’t care if you use it or not, just wondering if insurance companies still cover you if your car is unlocked. That is all.

Walkaway lock at home ... I don’t want it

Screenshot from lv.com https://www.lv.com/car-insurance/existing-customers/claim/claim-considerations just one UK insurers terms, but something worth considering when leaving your car unlocked.

Walkaway lock at home ... I don’t want it

Just a quick question, those of you who leave their cars unlocked on their driveway, what does your insurance company say about that? Are you still covered if the car is broken into/stolen when you’ve left it unlocked? I know in the UK most insurers would not cover you if your car was unlocked...

2 Questions: forcing Version 10? Sentry mode visualization on screen?

The blinking red light is actually a copy of the computer HAL9000 from the film 2001 Space Odyssey. You won’t see it appear on the screen because you are the owner and person with the connected phone key. It won’t activate because you’re not a potential intruder. Try activating Sentry mode and...

    Model 3 PCP

Hi, first time posting here. Thought I’d signup and share my experience. I ordered a SR+ and went with hire purchase. I found the Blackhorse figures to be more that Tesla’s quoted figures by around £1500. I called Tesla and a nice lady on the phone said she’ll do a custom quote through...
