I have a different take on Tesla honoring pre-order pricing. Remember, Tesla took off the prices from the pre-order site months after the initial reveal. I suspect those that pre-ordered before the prices were taken off will get the reveal pricing. All the rest will get market pricing.

Ihave a kinda similar issue with my brand new Model Y (VIN 43xxx). Same error messages about being Unable to Charge and to try Supercharging. However this is where it’s weird.
Nissan Leaf L1 charger with J1772 adapter - works fine on my Model 3, errors after 15-20 min on Y - tried two different...
2 hour free validation at Whole Foods. All you have to do is scan the parking ticket at the machine near the exit door.
By the way, checked the Georgetown SC and still not powered on yet.
The charging issues in Arlington seem to be Model 3-specific. I have a 2017 LR RWD that is really picky about which chargers in Arlington will work with it, yet my friend’s 2019 LR AWD has no issues with any of the Arlington chargers.
0003xx VIN - got the upgrade 2nd week of January. I'm the second owner of the car (bought used from Tesla late September 2019) and had the upgrade done in Tysons Corner, VA.
With the Gen 3 Wall Connector recently released with a max 48A current output, any thoughts on whether the Cybertruck will only accept 48A from an L2 charger? I would have thought especially with the high-capacity tri-motor that 80A charging would make a comeback.
Believe it or not I've been having good luck with the cheap USB 3.0 64GB Micro Center USB flash drives that they sell at the register. These sell for $6.99!
I'm in DC (where more than an inch of snow turns into a snow day) and not every winter results in extremely cold temperatures under 32 deg F, so I'm not considering a dedicated set of winter wheels and tires. However, I am considering a set of winter tires and just mounting them onto my existing...
I didn’t get one of the screaming hot deals but I was able to score one for 44.8k LR RWD - an MSM 18” with FSD. Very early VIN though - <1000 with 10/17 build date and 11/17 inservice date. Delivery date scheduled for end of the month.
Ordered a car from the used inventory. The build sheet does say FSD. However after I talked with a Tesla rep he said that FSD was not included. Which one is it? Obviously the attractiveness of this deal is very different one way or the other.
Of course one thing you have to keep in mind is that every other car manufacturer discounts off of MSRP and provides additional cash incentives, whereas Tesla does not. With BMW/MB in particular, 10-15% off MSRP for common models is not an uncommon practice on top of stacking manufacturer...
Except the Model 3 lease doesn’t have a buyout option and the MF is double compared to a BMW or most other car brands. I just balked at someone mentioning a 7.5k down $700/mo Model 3 lease. I just got offered a fairly loaded 530exi for less with 0 due at signing. And I’m planning to buy a Model...
What are typical fees for buying a used Model 3 vs a new Model 3? (I'm thinking destination fees, doc fees, etc) Also have people noticed differences depending on what state they're in? For example, in my area, MD has a doc fee cap, but VA doesn't.
Here's a thought for both @garey and @EV-CPO...
Tesla has specific delivery centers that are used for delivering used cars. For used Model 3's, it's possible to have a rough idea where a used vehicle is by searching multiple ZIP codes for different metro areas and seeing which cars appear. Any...
I'm in the same boat with a BMW lease ending beginning of November 2019. It seems these cars seem to go really really quickly so I'm trying to get a better handle on when new cars are posted and the best way to monitor their site.
