Early drive unit milling noise FIX

Schenkzoola how has your RAV 4 repair held up? Also, do you happen to know if the RAV4 DU you repaired would be a found in a P or Standard Model S? Any idea if the motor rotors are the same in the Std vs P DU? Trying to determine what the replacement SKF bearing would be for a 2013 P85 would...

Tesla YANKED FSD option without notice - Class Action lawsuit? Any Lawyers here? [Resolved]

I am certain the dealer assumed it had FSD because it was on the car when he bought it, just like the wheels, leather seats, etc.. The auction generally just lists the basics like trim levels, gas or diesel or electric, etc.. I check for the Autopilot in the Driving menu. If it is there at...

Tesla YANKED FSD option without notice - Class Action lawsuit? Any Lawyers here? [Resolved]

Didn't read all 26 pages but am a Used Car Dealer (rather large by the way) and we have bought and sold several S models purchased at the auction. So let me clear up a couple things. First, the auction house does not purchase the vehicle. They are simply an intermediary. The Sellers are...

    TPMS reset on V10

SUCCESS!! 2013P85+. I successfully cloned 4 new ITM sensors with the ID codes from the existing sensors and the TPMS fault went away. A couple of notes. The Baolong sensors actually have the ID code (8 character alphanumeric) printed on the sensor. So if you have one dead sensor and three...

    Tesla EV tax credit extension

I too am an EV advocate, they are just superior machines, fewer moving parts, more reliable, etc.. but in Kansas we don't have polluted valleys and ICE crusher programs (Cash for Klunkers) just drive up the price of used cars to people who are already struggling to afford a reliable car to get...

    Tesla EV tax credit extension

I agree with you regarding subsidies, I said Evil capitalist.. not Croney Capitalist! ;) As much as I detest subsidies I have to say that the EV subsidy was well thought out, everyone get's their 200,000 whether they choose to be first, last or not at all. By sitting back and waiting all the...

    TPMS reset on V10

@snellenr that is very encouraging information. So I am guessing that his programming tool connected to the OBD port and had the ability to tell the ECU to relearn the new sensor IDs. To this point I have been under the impression that was a Tesla only tool. Would be nice to know what kind of...

    Tesla EV tax credit extension

My hats off to Tesla for all of their groundbreaking innovations but I don't understand the controversy. The tax credit applies to each manufacturer equally so that Honda, Ford, etc.. will still receive the same benefit that Tesla has thus preserving the incentive for EVs. Tesla obviously made...

    TPMS reset on V10

While @thefortunes may be 100% correct about future upgrades by Tesla, given the extreme variations between Service Center "Give A S..t" (better know as GAS) and the complete disarray at Tesla the prospects for a reliable fix is pretty remote. As an intermediate fix, FWIW, I was fortunate...

    TPMS reset on V10

Are "addresses" the same as sensor ID's. Example 0135E802 is one of the "Sensor IDs" of my new sensor (eight digit alphanumeric). So if I can get the IDs of the original sensors and reprogram the new ones will that work without the Tesla tool?

    TPMS reset on V10

@snellenr That is very encouraging! When you get the info on the sensors it would be great if you could also include any remarks regarding the OBD port operations if they describe it. And to be clear your car does not report the individual tire pressures, correct? That is the most...

    TPMS reset on V10

2013 SP85+ Lot's of confusion in this thread. First If you have a late 2014 S or later Model S and you have the GEN 2 or Continental SYSTEM, i.e. your car displays all four tires pressures, etc. Must have the Continental (or clone) TPMS sensors with the GEN 2 system. If you have a 2012...

    Model S Delivery Goes Terrible

Picked up a 2015 CPO in West Palm back in April. Delivery personnel were friendly and efficient but the car was not detailed very well. More importantly though, as I became more familiar with the car on my drive home (Kansas) I noticed the Driver information screen was delaminating, causing the...

    2015 P85D Battery Degradation

I have a 2015 P85D with 39,000 miles. Problem is not how much range I show after charging, rather how many miles until I need to recharge. For example, i charge to 200 miles, (approximately 80%) and recharge at 50 miles. Only problem is, when I am down to 50 miles I have only gone about 100...
