It's not applied to the repairs in the case of Service Centers that are not specifically designated as Collision Centers. The aeroshield price is similar to your invoice of ~$200, but the $300 inspection fee would be on top.
The service rep explained this was to funnel folks to authorized body...
I asked Tesla Service Support and they mentioned the $300 nonrefundable diagnostic fee was exclusive to Service Centers that are not designated as "Collision Centers." He mentioned that usually for collision repair folks go through an authorized repair facility or a Tesla-owned Collision Center...
A few nights ago someone dropped a full tire (no wheel) on the US-101 SB and I ran over it with the left-hand side of my car at around 65.
The car continues to drive fine with only rips in the aeroshield and no real observable other damage (knock-on-wood), including brief looking-over the...
Hi there,
I'm selling a set of 2 Tesla Model 3 19" Sport Wheels (2018-2020 edition) without tires or TPMS, both with fairly significant curb rash and scuffing. I recently replaced this pair with new wheels, and don't really have the space for them.
See images for a better idea of condition...
Did Tesla jump the gun on expiring these miles?
I had around 900 left and was planning to use about 100 today, but they no longer show up in my loot box.
I’d figured they’d at least give us until the end of the day but I guess not.
I'm not sure how accurate they are, but usually used inventory cars have dozens of pictures covering the exterior condition which can be somewhat reassuring compared to a long-distance "new" purchase.
While I echo your sentiments, the poverty-guideline-based caps are unique to the increased rebate amount (i.e. $4,500 instead of $2,500).
The caps for the base $2,500 rebate are $150/204/300k for single/HOH/joint filers respectively.
One point that seems to be overlooked is that IIRC used inventory purchases also waive the $1,200 destination & doc fee (plus associated taxes).
In reality it's more like saving close to ~$1,500 vs. a new car (also factoring in for sales tax on the difference vs. the new MSRP).
Wow, is that actually legal? I can understand if the adjuster(s) are still finalizing details but if the claim is negotiated I can't imagine waitlisting/repair-deferment to be permissible by any reasonable consumer protection laws.
So it does sound like you expected them to proactively offer to fix the issues, despite Tesla being obviously underinvested on the service front.
I am certain you would have gotten those issues fixed if you had just asked (and not necessarily firmly) instead of just being passive-aggressive or...
The difference is in being active and passive, though if as you're suggesting they actually refused to fix them (as opposed to them not offering, and your assuming they would not fix) then that is ridiculous of them given how easy the issues you mentioned would be to fix.
You can't really be...
That doesn't really address the question as to whether you had asked for the issues to be fixed.
It sounds like you expected them to proactively offer to fix the issues. If you read threads on the pickup/delivery process you will realize that with Tesla the onus is on the customer to demand...
I'd push for a response from your SA as my SC associate specifically asked me whether anyone at Tesla told me (in writing I think) that the issues would be covered -- she made it sound like a big deal.
It's fine if the service center appointment is outside the 7-day window if you created the...
I went to the Santa Clara SC but only because it was nearby/convenient for me. I saw a customer there have a pretty tough conversation with the employees there where I think they refused to fix his issues under warranty as they were "within spec". The gentleman had mentioned he had a really good...
Do not e-sign the bill before your appointment.
When you visit the SC for your appointment you will typically need this to get classified as "due bill" work. If you reported these within a very short time of delivery (~72 hours?) you should be covered.
If not, you might have to convince them...
When you say "they did not offer to fix any of these issues", had you actually asked them to? They all seem like very small fixes at any service center that would likely be covered for free.
In comparison to cars that have noticeable paint or bodywork issues at delivery, those are really minor...
I think it's because we got the 2 deviations (discounted paint and wheels).
I'd be surprised if anyone got both the deviation discounts + 2 free years supercharging -- I doubt they would approve the other if they saw you already got one (per company policy).
Seems a bit low if in CA. Are you sure that includes the $2500 order deposit and registration/titling/etc. fees?
Here is a Used Inventory M3P- in CA for $49,600 (Pearl White / Black / 19s, 179 miles): 2019 Model 3 | Tesla
Looks like a customer return. The sticker price of that car should be...
About $56k in the Bay Area, with the specific amount depending on local jurisdiction and corresponding sales tax.
This is the final ballpark OTD for the base $49,990 MSRP after destination + doc fee plus all other taxes and fees.
Worth every penny though. :D
I can confirm that my Order Agreement shows the full sticker price of the car, even during delivery. The discounted price is only reflected in my Loan Agreement and perhaps full MVPA.
So technically it should only be possible to hit under $50k as a "purchased price" with a base M3P- in Pearl...
I have no idea what yields are like on the different electric motors but it seems like the AWD 980/990 switchover was done as a production optimization. Assuming with improving production processes an increasing number of 990 motors can meet the output that is typical of the 980, the...
Ugh, I paid everything before taking delivery (picked up at Fremont delivery center) and the delivery agent seemed to be in a rush to get me on my way rather than giving me the time to look over and report any concerns.
Fortunately the only thing that I found was a small blemish at the front...
Yeah, Engineering Explained did a video test of the stock 20" vs. smaller aftermarket wheels (not sure whether the stock 18s/19s are lighter than those aftermarket ones, though):
Some folks are reporting that there are no ready-made M3P-s available nationwide as of today according to their SAs. Is that really the case?
Can SAs/OAs place an order for a new M3P- to be made, not in inventory?
Just curious... I already have mine. :)
I considered myself lucky to get 2 deviation credits, and as of yet I haven't read of anyone getting a confirmed 2 years of supercharging on top.
Many people have had requests or cases put in but so far I haven't seen any updates that these cases were actually approved on top of deviation...
That’s a pretty good question — I’m not sure if the red line is part of the Performance Upgrade Package (i.e. with the 20” wheels, modified suspension, spoiler, aluminum pedals and red brake calipers) or whether it comes with the base “All Wheel Drive Performance” option.
I think it would be...
For those in the SF Bay Area waiting on a MSM Performance, there appears to be one in inventory right now with a white interior:
2019 Model 3 | Tesla
It might be worth changing some parameters on your order (e.g. interior color, FSD) and request to be matched up to that car.
I wonder if it makes sense to stop sharing specific OAs, as recent posts seem to suggest interested parties can just call their local regional sales channel to place an order on a local inventory vehicle.
Referring to specific OAs would mean more potential approvals required on the P3D- which...
I think it might be possible to threaten to back out of the purchase (even if you don't intend to) if they don't give you the promised credit(s), but I'll report back on how my case goes.
I'm a little annoyed with how long it's been taking but it's nothing compared to the radio silence and wait...
From what I was told by OA, the application of promo is dependent on your regional manager's approval. This affects both the time it takes to show up as well as whether or not you get it.
Thanks for the confirmation. It seems although my OA promised these discounts over the phone, it's taking them a while to actually process/apply them.
I'm pretty annoyed as I'm at the final payment stage as well.
How long did it take for you get that confirmed (I stress confirmed) in your order details?
I say that because we've been told elsewhere across different threads that it's one or the other: 2 free years of SC or up to 2 discounted upgrades, but not both.
I also have a similar situation and the...
It's unusual that a showroom car would show up their used inventory, since typically those cars show up in their new inventory along with test drive cars (some with over 1000 miles on them).
Anyway, once someone reaches out to me for a pickup appointment I'll head over to Fremont to check it...
Thanks for the tip. I put down a deposit and will try to check it out.
I had an existing pending reservation on a MSM/Black/FSD Performance (placed on 8/17 originally as White/Black, but changed to MSM on 8/21) but that hasn't had any updates since my delivery manager reached out to me a few...
